“Does anyone know if this is legitimate?”
####
This PARTICULAR episode appears to be satire; it is written in slightly over the top style.
However, it most definitely represents a very REAL way of life for millions of ...ahem...”Americans”.

Part fake, part real. There is this website called Snopes....
This sounds like England where immigrants immediately get a “council flat” or a house even a mansion if its on the list.
Welfare is a way of life for millions.
Then ABORTION was legalized. At first they'd give them money to have an abortion. Now they just take off. Our taxpayer dollars may also be paying for this in Pelosicare.
Okay, I remember reading a bonafied article in the “New Orleans Times Picyune” a year or two after Katrina hit, and seeing this picture. The woman was complaining about the free house someone put her into while the state was rebuilding public housing.
The woman was bitching about it being too small, and the toilet ran constantly or something. The NOTP of course turned it into a sob story and blamed it all on President Bush.
So the photo is real.
You can look up the % of illegitimate births (especially black ones) and see the inflection point when the Great Society kicked in.
Of course this sad condition just gave liberals more things to be “compassionate” about with our tax money.
About 8 years ago, my husband worked for a rent-to-own place delivering and picking up furniture/goods. He told me once he was out on a call and the residents of the home told him the welfare worker was coming by later that day to check up on them. They asked him to help hide their tv, the biggest tv he had ever seen. He politely declined and got out of there as soon as possible. LOL.
That photo plus quotes from Sharon Jasper lifted from that article ("I might do better out here with one of these tents") and from others ("I might be poor, but I don't have to live poor") were married to her outbursts at a New Orleans City Council meeting on 20 December 2007 ("I will not be treated like a slave!" and "Back up and Shut up! Shut up, white boy! Shut up, white boy!"), then worked into the satire piece quoted above. It's for this reason that we've given this item a "Multiple" status: While some of the elements portrayed in the spoof are fabricated of whole cloth, others aren't. And while most of the photos associated with the satire were taken from elsewhere, the first one, the one that shows a big screen television, is the real deal.
There are twenty million unemployed yutes who will make somebody either a great army or a workforce.
If the electricity should fail for more than a month there will be mass starvations and more. Estimates are that over a hundred million will die in the first six months should there be a breakdown in infrastructure.
