I know almost EXACTLY when I first heard them saying this because it was very meaningful... it was right after or during the 9-11 attack on us. It came with the flag pins they started wearing. So it now has sort of a tenuous connection to the 912 ers...or the “are you in a 9-10 or 9-12 mindset” question.

Fox needs a new segment on one of their shows:
Brown-Nosing the President. The MSM in Action. A Daily Update.

Trying to delegitimize journalists, tv and radio stations, isn’t that what tin pot dictators do in banana republics? I swear Obama has lowered the bar so low on the institution of the presidency I wonder if it will ever recover. He slams Bush every chance he gets even though he’s been in power for almost a full year. What an embarassment.

Brit Hume said that forever.

I was really happy when Brett used that sign off. I am also happy when Britt Hume graces Brett’s hour.

It’s a great slogan, but not new. Brit Hume closed his newscast with it for years.

Contrast this with
Shepard Smith, who apologized when a beat reporter interviewed NJ gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie on air and then failed to follow up with an interview of Christie's opponent, Governor Corzine (because Corzine has failed to respond to "multiple requests"!). Smith apologized for the "lack of balance" and claimed that "this wouldn't have happened if I was in charge".
To: kbennkc
It isn’t new...I remember Brit Hume saying it regularly @ the end of the show.

That isn’t a new sign off they have used it on and off for at least a year. The first time I heard it was summer of ‘08.
