Well, if you want my honest opinion, y’all need to take a deep breath and accept the Mod’s ping for what it was. As I look at those on this thread screaming the loudest about some conspiracy between Admin Moderator and Buckeye Texan and “this has never happened before” or “we don’t need a welcoming committee”, the majority seem to have signed up within the past year. They obviously have no historical basis to make those claims. I’ve seen Mods ping people in the past and many years ago we did have Newcomers Welcome threads. I think you remember those.

The Pro-Lifers were thinking about forming a caucus to avoid the noise. It appears they decided it was better for them to keep their information on the frontlines (News/Activism) - noise and all - to persuade more people. But the caucus option is still there should they need it.
