I was so pissed when the pompous Mark Davis went on Rush Limbaughs show with 20 million listeners and told them he didnt stand a chance against Dede.
It has the effect of an election night early call for victory of Al Gore!
Many people might, instead of voting for the actual conservative, decide "hey my vote isnt gonna help him so Ill vote for Dede".
Mark Davis is the worst fill in Rush could ever have...what an idiot.

your right they did, just yesterday......

The old-school GOP elite are so pathetic now that the man who engineered the great victory in 1994 is reduced to badgering with a political columnist so he can save face after endorsing a candidate who would be left-of-mainstream if she was running as a Democrat.
Why is this BS still being repeated
Newt had NOTHING to do with it PERIOD although he still thinks he did
It was a GRASS ROOTS movement caused by Clinton's Brady & Assault Weapons ban that brought out gun owners in droves and it was Clinton's Gays in the Military & Abortion policy that brought out the CC in droves
That is why Newt can't figure out what is happening in NY -he still doesn't know what happened in 94 because his EGO won't let him

the contract with American was just jumping in on top of the real reason that the Dem's lost..
Everything you mentioned plus the Post office scandal, the kiteing of checks, the banking scandal in the House of Rep. resulting in the prosecution of Rosty Rostenkowski on corruption charges. The most powerful man in the House..
When the shi! hit the fan, out came the contract with American...But I do have to say that when the rep. took over the House, they implemented 9 our of the 10 items voiced in the contract..
The House of Rep. being in Democrat hands for 40 years, it was ripe with corruption...
Many civil rights laws they enacted, they also had exempted themselves from having to obey them....
To: goat granny
I thought the Contract was a great thing but it just wasn’t what caused the 94 results
