I am really sorry to hear that. I really hope the Iranians will get themselves out of this hole they’re in, and I understand (intellectually) how hard it is.

Trying to get some news, but it’s 1 AM there so little will likely be happening. Nothing in western news sources but when I go to Payvand News, it keeps locking up my browser.

Interesting old item on Farsinet News (http://www.farsinet.com/news/):
Growth of Christianity in Iran - Reported by Peykeiran News - Nov. 12, 2007 - موج رو به گسترش مسيحيت در ايران!
|
Growth of Christianity in Iran is accelerated by Iranian Christian Radio and TV broadcasts such as Mohabat TV, SAT7 TV, Nejat TV and Radio Mojdeh. These programs and their evangelist teachers/programs use various methods to attract Iranians - from Healing online prayer sessions, praying for pecae and comfort, filling of the Holy Spirit and encouraging and teaching a personal relationship with GOD without any middle person (Prophet, Saint, Imam, ...). |

Ah. I haven’t looked at this site in years, but now it seems to be an Iranian Christian site.

If you’re going to thaw something, it has to be above freezing, okay?

It’s clouding up here. Mt. Charleston got down to 18 last night and we were 29 at the Henderson airport.
I still have to do dishes. :o[

Take the corpse out last, and don’t forget the cash next to the peas.

Reminds me of those “sick” jokes we used to tell “back in the day.”
“Mom, can we play with Gramma?”
“No. You’ve already dug her up twice this week.”

I like candy corn. *\;-P
Yikes. Just for grins I looked up getting to Orlando on Amtrak and Greyhound. 3 days travel for both; $580 on Amtrak coach (2 changes), $356 Greyhound (5 changes). Add lowest-cost cabins for Amtrak it goes up to $1652.
I paid $420 for Alaska non-stop.
For some reason neither Amtrak nor Greyhound will get me to Paris.
Guess I am stuck with flying. *\:^(
