How was she selected? Judges? Votes? Could it be the black gals are jealous that the guys picked a honky?

Black universities?
White universities aren't tolerated and minority students are awarded points during admissions reviews when applying. Is it the same for Caucasians when applying to a 'Black' school?

My first thought: what kind of social/political views would one have that would prompt attendance at a predominantly black school? Not really a racial question, as Hampton University is not known for any particular specialty or major (their basketball team makes the NCAA tournament every now and then).
I wonder how this experience will affect her outlook on things?

Why should there be “black universities” in this day and age? Reverse racism. Is it ok to have “white universities.” The answer should be no in both cases. It’s sickening that people define themselves by their skin color.

A better question is: why are there still black colleges and universities? No one of any ethnicity can be denied entrance to any American college. Black colleges are anachronisms that should either have the black appellation dropped or be discontinued. Black students don't need all black colleges anymore.
