The war is still going on. And both the PRK and the PRC have nuclear weapons. Moreover, the PRC is now the world’s biggest creditor nation and we are the world’s biggest debtor nation. The PRC hold tremendous levearage over us, especially at this juncture. If they stop buying our debt or decided to cash in a significant portion of its US holdings, they could plunge us into economic chaos.
Mikeandike, the founders knew too well this would happen
so in Article 2 of the constitution they demanded that only a natural born citizen could hold the presidential seat.
They knew the position of commander in chief of our armed forces could not be entrusted to a citizen who may have an allegiance to some other country or system of government.
Now, look at us...

I wish he had applied this philosophy to his Presidential campaign.
I spent a year in Vietnam (including during the Tet Offensive) and another 8 months off the coast. The Communists are still in charge of Vietnam along with China. And Putin is trying to reinstall them in Russia.
