Except for the video on Youtube, it appears that the WEB has been cleansed of very much mention of the song with the kids. It is not on Wikipedia. Here is about the only thing I found. It is screen print from a website that no longer exists:

The little girl in the “sing for change” video looks like she is drugged. She has dead looking eyes.
Except in high school if a kid misses he has to take final exams. I’ve yet to hear what time this thing is to know what classes mine will be in at that time.

ASKING?? Just take your kids to play golf that day. Ask HELL! Provide any principal who objects with two familiar words. It’s long past time that actual Americans stop being nice, pleasant and submissive.
Well, it was more to gauge the principal’s reaction, and within an hour of sending the email she received a reply saying the speech would not be broadcast to the entire student body, but would be carried only over computers, and since it was during the lunch hour, it would be up to the student if they wanted to watch it or not.

Surely you remember high school. If you are absent, for whatever reason, you have to take finals at the end of the semester.
No. We took finals at the end of the class year. Everyone did. We missed a lot of days. Livestock judging, band trips, hunting season, farm work, jobs, and whatever else happened to take precedence over being in school that day. A couple of brown nosers went after perfect attendance, but they also took finals.
Strange place you must live. It was understood that, the opening day of pheasant season, deer season, and turkey season was a no attendance day for most students, and ofttimes teachers.
I grew up and live in the Lone Star State.

I live 6 miles from there. Whats wrong with those people, Texans are supposed to make things simple? Dam liberals around Austin corrupting the rest of the state? :)
