With the goat it was easy with 2 of us holding her, but she had such pain, she didn't even complain..What happened is she hadn't allowed the kid to nurse and I didn't notice until she was inflamed. What happened was the milk inside the teet was like cottage cheese and blocked the teet(due to the heat of the inflammation) so we couldn't expel any milk to give her any relief. Once the teet was opened, we hand milked her for 24 hours..then she went back to nursing...
