Well, I guess the generous Mr. Dean A. Banks just wants “blessings” bestowed upon us, since we are now, as a nation;

- In widespread spiritual poverty, due to overt attacks upon the majority religion, Christianity, the principles of which our nation was founded upon;

- In mourning, over the loss of liberty, freedom of association, the right to life and, soon, the right to speak ones mind about pernicious government attempts to remove ever more of these genuine, not imagined or invented, rights;

- In meek acceptance, by and large, of governmental control over every aspect of our lives, and of governmental condemnation of sincere religious belief;

- In hunger and thirst after righteousness, since there is precious little emanating from government, particularly since January 20, 2009;

- At the mercy of the merciless, who have the temerity to demand mercy from their victims.

Then, the good Mr. Banks proceeds to revile and persecute the pure of heart, in a much less than peaceable manner.

Mr. Banks is misusing the Bible for deceit. Even the Devil himself can quote scripture.

This screed was no doubt aimed cynically at black Christians. I know many Christians who happen to be black, and they're keenly aware of this sort of thing. Most of them will see through it. Having a government that deems itself able to determine life or death for all it's subjects, is not in the interests of any of us, of any color.

I only ask because this appears to be the hawt talking point from the left on various sites, but thus far, none of them has come up with any proof of the charge.
