Isakson has always been the simple-minded “little brother” of Saxby Chambliss and neither one of them is worth a bucket of spit. Isakson is up for re-election next year, but unfortunately, he probably won’t have any competition in the primaries, and it will come down to a choice between him and some dim like Cynthia McKinney.

That is just great. lol They think we are not watching or listening. Some of us run interference for them but I’m done with that. They need to stop collaborating with the media and thinking we will just chalk it up to the venue.

If Palin is to punch through the "dumbed down" masses who fell for the "great orator's" promises of "change" accompanied by "goodies," then she must, like Ronald Reagan, have an in-depth and intimate of the Founders' principles and ideas of liberty versus tyranny.

Creator-endowed life and liberty are authentic ideas, which, when protected by a written "people's" constitution limiting the power of their government, become a reality for millions of oppressed people from all the world. Witness America for its first 200 years!

Allowing silver-tongued orators to supplant "the people" and their constitutional limits on coercive government power by offering promises of handouts for all is a counterfeit idea and has led to oppressive taxation, debt, and slavery of people wherever it has been allowed.

Reagan understood that the "beacon of liberty" relies on enduring principles, called by the Founders, "self-evident" truths. More importantly, he could articulate those ideas!

Palin can read, study, and understand them. The fact that she has Levin's "Tyranny and Liberty" is a start, but there's nothing like reading the voluminous writings of the Founders themselves (available online) for incorporating them into one's own vocabulary.

If she does that, all the Far Left proponents of the "counterfeit ideas" will not be able to stop her from having a positive impact on the future of America!

She must be able to delineate and clarify, as Reagan did, why "socialized" medicine, for instance, is in opposition to America's founding principles, explaining the perhaps "unintended consequences" of allowing any government in the world to have that much power over the lives and property of its citizens. There is liberty for individuals, and then there is tyranny over individuals.

Oh, and by the way, since they're reading her Facebook page, maybe she ought to post some of the Founders' words on her page. That may be the only some will ever be exposed to intelligent discourse!

Yep exactly per post #34. Idiots like Romney and Pawlenty talk about “slowing it down” instead of fighting this outright. I’m tired of Republicans playing this stupid game because it still advances the Left’s goals.

Exactly. We need to get away from the middle ground because with Socialism there is no middle ground. Tyranny can not coexist with liberty.

If it's so nuts, why has it already happened under the Oregon state plan?

http://www.disaboom.com/Blogs/disabled_politico/archive/2008/08/14/oregon-patients-denied-chemo-offered-assisted-suicide.aspx

As Newt has pointed out, the house bill authorizes multi-layered bureaucracies, and empowers them to make new regulations on who gets what treatment. Nobody can honestly say they know what they will decide, but the guidelines in the bill, combined with every real life experience indicates life saving treatments will be denied to people based on the regulations they impose.

I just dropped my Senator a little note.

Senator,
Our country stands at the precipice. The mild tyranny of the schoolmaster that Torqueville so eloquently described in Democracy in America is blossoming. The demoralization of America that Yuri Bezmenov warned of is bearing evil fruits.

By trying to play nicely with Democrats the Republican Party has spoiled the faith that was placed in it when the reigns of congress were given into its hands in 1994. Your distinguished colleagues spent like the treasury was overflowing, not deeply in debt. And you have paid the price. Rather than return to your conservative roots your party has continued reach across the aisle to receive your share of the graft while the Democrats drive us hard towards the end of capitalism. This is the same capitalism that has freed millions, enriched billions and advanced every area of human endeavor at a rate unmatched in history.

The conservatives in America are angry. And every time we are called a mob or un-American for voicing dissent we get angrier. The last senatorial election in Georgia should have been a wake up call. We were unhappy with Senator Chambliss for his love of pork and beltway politics. He needed a runoff to retain his seat in one of the most conservative states in this great country. I hoped you were different. You were a reliable conservative vote. But it appears that you have ‘gone native’. Your desire to befriend the media and get your picture taken with Senator Kennedy has separated you from those who sent you to office.

There are few conservative voices in politics standing up to the extreme socialist agenda being forced upon us by a President that ran as a ‘Uniter’ then in his first meeting with Republican leaders declared “I won.” We are looking for leadership. We are looking for conservatives in the public eye that can fight against this coming tyranny. Governor Palin is one of those leaders. No one has been more reviled, smeared, and dismissed than she has. And yet she can probably draw a larger crowd in Quitman County than you can in Cobb County any day of the week. Senator Chambliss credits her support with saving his seat.

And you called her statement about death panels ‘nuts.’ Really? Doesn’t that accurately describe a government panel that decides who gets treatment and who doesn’t? Governor Palin did not mention euthanasia. You let a reporter lead you by the nose into a straw man argument. And you gave them bonus material. You dismissed one of the only public leaders that inspires conservatives.

Maybe you don’t want conservatives inspired. Maybe your life would be easier if we would be quiet and let the oh-so-wise ‘public servants’ in Washington make the decisions. But we are tired, Senator. We are tired of lawyerly wording and nuanced statements. We are tired of thousand page bills with pork laden amendments passed in the middle of the night. We are tired of being told to vote for moderates so we can expand our tent. We are tired of Washington. And you are becoming another bit actor on that most expensive burlesque stage.

I am not a member of the most exclusive club of 100 in the world. No one is calling me for interviews or asking me to be on Sunday morning talk shows. Lobbyists aren’t fawning over me to win my support. I don’t even have a staff to issue statements and read my bills for me.

But I have the power of my vote. Remember who you work for. We remember who works for us. And the layoffs are coming.

Thanks! I personally don’t understand what individuals like Isakson think they are winning? It certainly doesn’t earn them any votes. You almost never see see this kind of thing with Democrats no matter how nutty they are. Do they Democrats criticize Maxine Waters or the like? Never. What troubles me is that Sarah is more of a mainstream conservative than anyone like Isakson ever could be. She is the real deal. Not some suited and saluted good ole boy who thinks he can speak out of both sides of his mouth and no one will notice.
