Yupik don't mind being called Eskimo because they are, in fact, known as Eskimo among Eskimo tribes. The Canadians have a problem - they are almost all Innuit, a minor tribe among the Eskimo. At the same time they don't have any Yupik. If they did they'd have to designate one of the three branches as Eskimo as well.

No doubt the Inuit are of the opinion there shouldn't be any Eskimo in their neck of the woods.

It's tough being "the mother tribe" as any Delaware could tell you ~ they didn't even have their own name ~ Indians simply called them "the grandfather tribe".

Oh my gosh, that was difficult to listen to and then to believe these are supposedly educated people.

These elitists were sitting there bashing Sarah Palin and using a fictional character to do so, and they all seemed to take each others comments in a serious context to expound upon! Unbelievable! No wonder MSNBC has so few viewers.

Matthews (isn’t he the one with the tingle for BO?)— Southerners heard the dog whistle and understood what it meant. What? Southerners are birthers? I suppose they must have been told that their teeny tiny viewership is somewhere other than the south, otherwise I don’t see how he could get away with the stereotyping he just did.

I suppose they all think they’re cutting-edge journalists and have proven their point. What dopes.
