McGovern acted like a COWARD and a TYRANT. A sad display of our Government disrespecting average American citizens by oppressing their ability to speak freely and to capture their experience via video. No cameras of any kind were allowed.

This is absolutely ridiculous - a public meeting should be recorded.
“Transparency?” I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Time to employ a little "technology."

Thought you would be interested in an update on a Townhall from yesterday in Worcester, MA. Sounds like it was chaotic and miserable for the people who attended.
The media wonders where all the anger is coming from? When people are not being heard there is a natural anger that develops. Everyone can relate to a time in their life they were not listened to and how that made them feel.
The Media is DENSE and DISGRACEFUL.

Must have been those manufactured right wingers... Of course it was. Didn't you see all those T shirts with identical logos? Or all those professionally printed signs and banners? Or the guy with the bullhorn?

"Mr. McGovern said. The meeting wasn't perfect and it wasn't always polite but I got the opportunity to express my view on the subject."I wasn't aware that the purpose of a town hall meeting was for the representative to express his views. I believe the real purpose is for the citizens to express their views. For a representative, the owner of a bully pulpit, to proudly proclaim that he was able to speak at his own town hall meeting, is the lamest "victory" I have ever heard.

With technology now, know one had a phone camera or video? Seriously.

"This is absolutely ridiculous - a public meeting should be recorded." Yes, I agree. Is it legal to prohibit cameras or video at a public meeting? I am not a lawyer so maybe someone can chime in here.
Seems outrageous. Again, what is McGovern and co-horts so afraid of?....lying on camera perhaps???? He should be disgraced and ashamed. The media if they were doing their job could expose this but that will never happen.

Thanks. It is absolutely unbelievable the lengths they are going to ram this down our throats.
If Democrats could shut down every conservative talk radio show, every conservative web site, and stop every conservative from voting, I'm sure many would try.
It's not just that they want to win. They are so SURE they are right that it infuriates them to have to deal with the idiots who don't know any better (otherwise known as THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, WHOSE SERVANTS THEY ARE) and can't just tell them to, and make them, shut up.
harry Reid's comment about the “smelly” tourists in the Capitol says it all. They think of us as cattle. And they are trying to “manage” us like them.

Congress-scum, especially the dims, have responded in their usual manner with ridicule and accusations of conspiracy, but they’d better heed the will of the people! I don’t think the mood of The Country is one that will put up with much more.

For a representative, the owner of a bully pulpit, to proudly proclaim that he was able to speak at his own town hall meeting, is the lamest "victory" I have ever heard. McGovern doesn't get it. You are right. This was not an opportunity for him to be heard. If he respected those who voted for him he would want to give them this opportunity to be heard. McGovern lacks the integrity and courage to do the right thing. He doesn't deserve to represent any of us. I am repulsed by his disrespectful child-like behaviour and obnoxious arrogance.
McGovern is not my Representative. My Rep. is Markey (currently in HIDING and meeting with Special Interests Groups) who shares McGovern's hubris and blatant disrespect for their voters. They both need their walking papers ASAP.

Obamanomics at work here. Usually us radical right wing extremists are too busy trying to earn a living to do much protesting. Obama better get used to “angry mobs” because the more he talks, the madder we get and we don't have to invent anything to be “righteously outraged” about.
Elections do have consequences, but America does have a Constitution, and it's about damned time we reminded them about it.
