A recall petition is the formal process by which Members of Congress can be subjected to a recall election, at least here in Wisconsin. It gets filed with the state Elections Board. If a sufficient number of voters sign such a petition, a new election is ordered.

No action Wisconsin can take outside of the ordinary election to remove a sitting member of Congress. Wisconsin cannot call any election, other than filling a suddenly vacant seat, which can affect Congressmen. It is simply unconstitutional. Show me ANY provision in the Constitution of the United States which mentions any ability of a state to do such a thing.

This is a totally bogus claim.

At best Wisconsin could register some sort of protest with the Congress but there is nothing requiring it to act on it in any way.

There may be such a means of recalling a Wisconsin legislator but not a federal one.

That proviso only relates to ordinary elections and special elections to fill a vacant seat. It does not authorize any recall any more than it does a recall of a president. This is unconstitional nonsense.

Even the dumbest Cow College in the country knows there is no recall of federal elected officials.

Certainly Congress can be petitioned to expell members but there is no authority over a federal legislator outside the Constitutionally prescribed methods.

Executive and Jucicial can be impeached and convicted and Legistative can be expelled by the body concerned.

Right and Adam Clayton Powell but those actions were through the constitution and the House took them.

Yes.

My congressman Jo Bonner and four other Republican congressmen and their families just returned from a two week around the world vacation (fact finding) at taxpayer expense.

Shit-can all of'em!!

“Even the dumbest Cow College in the country knows there is no recall of federal elected officials.”

And you send this to me, why? When I made the comment that you could impeach congressmen every two years, it was said in sarcasm. Surely you understand that I was referring to the election system. Yes, even poly sci grads from my "dumb Cow College" understand that.

"Bonner is such a rubber stamp guy...he’s a joke...but it could be worse."

I just sent him an email telling him he's lost my vote, forever. He is having a townhall meeting here on the 17th...I'll be there.

Dick Coffee is who we need.

You were doubtful that your liberal college taught you correctly regarding the constitution. Any educated man is that way because of himself not his college. I have attended some less than stellar colleges myself and meant no offense to you. I apologize if it seemed so but only meant to say the absolute worst college would allow one to read the Constitution which is all that is required to settle this “issue”.

Good enough. You say no offense intended and I accept that. Far as I’m concerned we’re cool. And I have my copy of the Constitution courtesy of Hillsdale College. Have a good evening

If the DimocRats had any sense (lol), they'd move to impeach this impostor of a "president".

Only way to save their "party"; the party that folded after the GREAT President Truman.

Thank you for that list of States which do allow recall of Senators and Representatives.
