The Healthers are claiming that there was a conspiracy to edit the tapes and twist Obama’s words.

The Healthers are claiming that there was a conspiracy funded by the GOP and insurance industry to pay people to disrupt townhall meetings held by Democrat politicians.

The Healthers make the DemocRat Party look foolish.

President Bush gaffed when he’d say the wrong word.

President Obama gaffes when he tells his honest opinion.

One gets the sense that Obama-as-messiah’s words are illegitimate if directly quoted by a conservative. They lose their magic power.

I have frankly been amazed by how many times I have heard some liberal coming on trying to explain what Obama, or Biden, or Pelosi - or fill in your favorite liberal - actually meant.

Sorry. The record is overwhelming that Obama and many other Democrats have been talking about the very system that we are now being accused of “taking them out of context” by citing the record.

But it gets worse. Because they deny that they’re talking about government health care even as they are trying to shove it down our throats!!!

We don't need to twist the truth, though he needs to hide his! Why so serious? Photobucket

Maybe you haven't caught on yet but ANYTIME a conservative quotes a liberal, it is considered "unfair".

Oh, oh,

I guess that means they’re going to think it’s “unfair” when we start hunting them down with dogs, then.

I remember how it sure was “unfair” when Joe the Plumber heard Barack Obama talk about “spreading the wealth around” and responded by saying, “That sounds like socialism to me.” You’d have thought he had said, “I like to slowly cook children alive and then eat them.”

Telling the truth is always “unfair” to a liar. Lies just don’t like to be around the truth.

I have 2 questions for the president.

“You went to college, what is the underlying principle of Marxism? Followup question, how are your proposals different?”

It’s fair since Sarah Palin was asked about “the Bush Doctrine”.

That is excellent.

Those 2 questions would be utterly devastating - which is why you can be sure that they will NEVER be asked by the mainstream media.

So every single time you hear a Democrat attack private health insurers, just recognize that they are in fact attacking the private health care system, even as they seek to impose on you a choice-denying, care-depriving, exorbitantly expensive government system in its place.

And large and small employers would love to have everybody in Universal care so they didn't have to provide it

By the way, my answer to the first question would be the famous quote from Marx:

“From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.”

And I do in fact find myself puzzling how Obama would be justified in saying, “Why, that doesn’t sound like me at ALL.”

I disagree with you.

Small businesses that actually hire workers are TERRIFIED about Obamacare. They don’t want it, and are fighting against it with everything they’ve got.

So I don’t think you can accuse them of “loving” universal health care. They understand that they will be paying for it right up the butt.

As for some of the big companies, you can go right back to some of the worst policies of FDR’s New Deal, where he allowed big businesses to write the laws in a way that drove their smaller competitors right out of business.

Which is why the 2008 debates were a fraud. BEYOND the fact that they provided some of the questions to the candidates (and we think the 21 scandal of the 1950s was big news), where was the conservative panel of questioners? Everyone on the debates was a lib. Even the youtube debate was run by liberal activists and staffers.

Like when the all the Democrat presidential candidates showed up for a debate hosted by the hard-core leftwing hate organization the Daily Kos, but then boycotted a debate by Fox News.

Rabid leftist hate rants (such as cheering the agonizing death so bravely faced by Tony Snow) is fine. Being the recognized most fair and balanced news station by study after study is terrible.

” if you like your doctor, you keep your doctor; if you like your health care plan, you keep your health care plan.”

Trouble with this is if you change jobs, you will not be able to keep your current health care plan unless you are willing to pay the whole premium (100%). And I think Cobra only covers people who become unemployed, And I think it only lasts 18 to 24 months Otherwise the goal is to force you into the government mandated health plan.

If you want to get a new plan, you are stuck.

I haven’t moved from state to state with private healthcare (from an employer or privately paid) but I do know that the coverage and laws vary from state to state so you may not even be able to MOVE and keep your insurance even if you stay with the same employer.

The end goal is to get you off your current plan. Even if that takes 10-20 years.

Jimmy,
Make sure to read that Wall St. Journal article I refer to.

It can’t be more clear: it repeals the Erisa act under which most businesses that provide health insurance provide their care.

will read the article...thanks. I can't remember where I heard this. It may have been a slip of the tongue by Barack himself, or someone it his admiistration. Maybe it was Gibbs.
I went something like this - ‘If you keep your job, you can keep your medical insurance plan.’
I actually don't think it was a slip of the tongue, but they were sure quick to edit that piece of information out of any reference to the gov medical plan.

By the way, has anyone seen the commercial with Obama and George Lopez plugging Gorge’s upcoming late night show. I asw it last night. Just when I think my opinion of Obama could not get any lower, he proves me wrong. Has anyone ever seen a sitting president do a television commercial? After they left office Bush and Clinton together did one, but I think that was for the Tsunami Relief Fund...something quite different than what Obama has done.
