Family Guy is funny, though I like Futurama and Robot Chicken even more.
There are moments that do go way over the top, and a few where lightning bolts striking the producers would probably be appropriate, but on the whole it is funny. And that’s enough for me.

But, if they drop it I couldn’t choose not to watch it.

I stopped watching any kind of these shows after watching the Simpsons one time. The father was telling the son to kick someone in the n*ts if in a fight. Not the role model I want for my son. You are free to make your own choices.

Why would you expect historical accuracy from an animated cartoon that has a talking dog? If it makes you laugh, doesn’t that mean it’s funny?

>Bran, Stewie and the other guy beat up Nazi SS officers and take their uniforms. Stewie found a McCain-Palin button under a lapel. I dont know about the rest of you, but I was sick to my stomach when I saw that. How dare Seth McFarland the one of the shows writers insinuate that Sen. John McCain or former Vice Presidential candidate and Gov. Sarah Palin would have any connection to Naziss what so ever
Seth? Seth, is that you?
The show's pretty funny and
who would be surprised
if MacFarlane did
go viral and advertise
by hating himself?

I watched 5 minutes of the first show and never considered watching any of it again. It’s pure crap.

Criticizing an animated TV sitcom for historical inaccuracies? Wow. Someone needs a reality check.

ugh, if a liberal blogged about South Park's libertarian/right leaning content and called for it to be cancelled, we would throw a fit!
why are we falling into the 'free speech is ok as long as i agree with it' crowd?
you don't like it, don't watch it. simple as that. some of the 'family guy' content makes me cringe but on the whole it's funny as heckfire.
personally, i do not like the way blogs seems to be taking over a lot of FR bandwidth. but again, i am a guest here and it's not my call.

sorry, but the object is to win a fight if you are ever in one. i’d rather have my kid end it and get out of there than ‘fight fair’ (whatever that means) and get the snot beat out of him. (i don’t have any kids yet, though)

>>> the show has featured countless historical inaccuracies <<<
I think the word you’re looking for is “anachronisms.”
Shakespeare uses some in _Julius Caesar_. Not exactly a new technique.
As for _Family Guy_, I find it to be unbearable. May it soon be available only on DVD and in reruns.
