I wanted to see,first hand, the response to Malia-gate over at FR and I find this piece of satire(?)
Even after much scrutiny FR can’t help but posting hateful things about a young boy, who never asked to be thrust into the public.

Felix Afriyie is a young man in Ghana that resembles Pres. Obama. According to his family Felix has been a shy boy most of his life. But with his recently discovered popularity due to his resemblance of Pres. Obama Felix has come out of his shell. Felix is inspired by Obama, and has aspirations to becoming a Pastor when he grows up. He was even part of the welcoming committee for Pres. Obama.
So naturally FR takes this as an opportunity to not only degrade our President but this young man. With a poor attempt at satire and with comments like this within the blog:

That’s why I was glad to hear that it’s going to get some exposure by shuster. Most of the time that shit goes on without even getting mentioned by the corporate press which seems to condone that sort of thing. When the Huffpo had comments that the corporate press deemed not suitable, they were quick to publicize it. Not so much free republic and its ilk. People in the press need to remember that this is a mainstream conservative site that one of the Village Gods, tony snow, used to post at. This is mainstream conservative thinking, not some fringe site like stormfront. You’d think it would be noticed by some media critic who writes for a major publication, say like the Wapo, who happened to be VERY quick to condemn Huffpo commenters.

Unfortunately hate sites like Free Republic do have a certain “power” and we have seen it exercised lately to our detriment.
Individuals filled with that much hatred, without an outlet of reasonable discourse, get lost in constant exchances of negativity. They start thinking its the “norm”..and much as that is absolutely not the truth in the real world.
They can inspire some very hateful actions. The vile doesn’t always stay on the blog page.

(1) He obviously does not know what satire is;
(2) He has no decency to involve an innocent child in his satire because of his hatred for the president;
(3) Saturday Night Live has not been funny for some time, yet I would say that all their writers’ jobs are safe if this is the competition that exists.
(4) Don’t the Republicans have enough genuine love children and adulterous affairs to satirize without manufacturing them?
