did you notice I never mentioned Honduras? I was speaking about Central America in General. Back in the late 70’s it was projected in the Pentagon that there would be trouble with the Marxists in Central America within 7-8 years (source may still be classified). I guess we lucked out, only Ortega presented a problem, but now he’s in charge of Nicaragua. How much longer he will stay remains to be seen, before the usual scenario repeats. Zelaya, the Honduran nut job should never have been put in power in the first place. Funny, how the nut jobs always get enough followers to put them in power. Same goes for here. As for NPR, who listens to them besides the liberal metro radicals?(Rhet.)

According to several reports Zelaya was a very moderate (though basically a leftist like his replacement) populist and very much for the people until after he was elected. You can’t blame the voters when a pol does a 180 after his election.
