Any of which are plenty of reason to take his badge and gun away.
Don’t you see that they (the cops can do no wrong crowd) show up, start accusing YOU (and others) of being emotional and unreliable, as if what the cop did had ANYTHING to do with any of us, and then bash other FReepers and leave. All the while saying that they just can’t reason with us?? It happens over and over and over.
Oh GIVE UP. No matter WHAT you say, he’s going to bring up some other arcane, non-connected point! Don’t you see what is happening here?!
Your jump to rabies is ridiculous!!
Actually, yes I do, but apparently you don’t see what it is that I’m doing.
I have had much cause to call the Sheriff’s Dept here in my county and they’ve always been SOOOO helpful and professional. They are the ones that came here when my husband was found when he died.
The local police however....shudder. They are troublemakers around here and I avoid any contact with them.
Long as you’re having fun, I’m fine with it. :D
I can’t figure out how in the world he can breathe under all those covers but he sure loves it under there!! LOL!!
You’ve got to be kidding. That moron really thought a 12lb dog was a threat? I’d kick the idiot off the force.
Family Outraged After Officer Shoots Their Dog (5 lb Chihuahua)
06/09/2009
CINCINNATI, OH -- A Blue Ash family is outraged after returning home to find their dog had been shot and killed by a police officer.
-snip-
That officer later explained to the family that he was following procedure.
Yes, he especially loves the flannels! haha!!
Marcus would rip the guy’s head off.
We just simply don’t like the bad cops. They ruin it for everybody else.
If courts actually wanted to follow the law, they would recognize a distinction between wrongful arrest and unlawful arrest. Cops who engage in arrests they know or should know to be unlawful would be regarded as the kidnappers they are. Unfortunately, those in government would rather use the 'big lie' technique to convince people that wrongful actions are legitimate, than work to stop wrongful actions from occurring in the first place.
Agreed but to avoid fights in the street the law pretty much requires to accept arrest and then swear out a warrant for kidnapping later. A big part of the idea of policing is to keep public order. Thus the requirement that you not resist arrest whether the arrest is legit or not.
Perhaps, but if the government were actually interested in upholding the law, it would prosecute cops who engage in burglary, robbery, and kidnapping. The greater the extent to which cops are allowed to engage in such behaviors, the less imperative there is for citizens to honor cops' authority.
In the absence of a no-knock warrant or exigent circumstances, a so-called "cop" who forces his way into a dwelling without making a bona fide effort to demonstrate the legitimacy of his actions deserves to get shot; the country would be a much safer place for everyone if every cop could be certain that getting shot would be the logical consequence of such behavior. Of course, it's better for those in power if paeons have no way of knowing whether the guy breaking into their house is an unbadged burglar, or a burglar acting on behalf of the state.
no it’s not. it is reasonable to think rabies when a dog charges you in this manner. bottom line, there was a threat. he fired. it was legal. the legal system sees ‘dogs’, not ‘dogs of a certain size and weight.’
He shouldn’t have and it shows very poor judgement and lack of competency.
and yes it is, it’s not a typical rabid dog behavior.
