Until then, there isn’t really a damned thing we can do about it...except do what we can to drive the State-Run Media into bankruptcy

You’ve got my attention...could you expand on this?
I was witnessing a back & forth that went from late last night til about 6am. I didn’t get a chance to get back with you after my reply to your post.
Was it the people of Indiana that lit the fire under the official’s hindsides, or was it the officials themselves. It’s interesting the way this is coming down.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure it was just the Treasurer who initiated this himself (perhaps with the influence of Mitch Daniels or other government people). Obama was busy demonizing those greedy hedge fund managers, making it sounds like some exclusive little club that most people aren't involved in. It wasn't until the Treasurer spoke out that I think anyone realized how mainsteam the investment was.
I'd love to see him get more traction in the media.

Me too! I’d love to see other states learn from him & defy this admin as much as they possibly can!
How many other state pension funds are invested here? Would be odd if Indiana were the only one. All of the people who run those funds are abdicating their fiduciary duty to get the best return on their client's investment.
I would think they could be sued for not protecting their client's interests (that is their job). If I had any kind of employer directed pension, I'd certainly be looking into it.
But I don't. Darn it.
Neither do I...
Personally, if I am going to have to make sacrirfices, it is going to be my choice. I will do without those things that support the enemy of the republic.
Thanks Redleg! I’m definitely doing my part!
The pathetic thing about it is that they will be clueless as to why it happened to them!
