The zoo is on the grounds. Free-roaming critters. Good for target pactice. (Arrows only!)
Sometimes, the zoo is the party on the mezzanine...especially when the lamp shades show up as disguises.

Afternoon! We had a guest today, a friend of Elen’s from church. Nice girl. DP went to get the truck inspected and came back with more gerbils. Oh, well. Elen’s friend named the dark-gray one Shadow, and I named the brown-and-white one Georgia. They’ll live with the little girls, who will get used to all-night gnawing, I suppose.

One of my nieces had a gerbil that lived in the walls of their house. I couldn’t get used to hearing it when we went to watch movies! LOL!
I’d like a gerbil, but I have no room for a habitat, here.
