Eco-friendly deathtraps with the stability of a lawn mower and the safety of a skateboard. Oh boy.

In addition to a safety helmet, they should all come with a bumper sticker that says, “I’m pedaling as fast as I can.”

Who sets these CAFE standards and what scientific basis is used to arrive at the 35.5 mpg figure? Why not make it 50 mpg or whatever mileage turns them on?

Be sure you have your seat belt fastened in your little sardine can car. You may live an extra 1/1000 of a second. Thanks, 0.

They may come and take it away from you if it's not eco friendly.

If the government lets you. Remember that they control taxes, registration, and will soon control parts. They could take your “gas guzzler” off the road in a heartbeat if they wanted to force you to buy one of their new cute eco cars.

Soon they’ll control insurance companies too and they’ll make SUV’s impossible to insure.

Obama followed his whims
People lost their limbs.

Obama designed the frames
People went up in flames

Obama orchestrated
People's limbs were amputated.

Obama improved the mileage
People became raw silage.

Not just SUVs. I'm looking at any vehicle that doesn't meet the new standards will be vulnerable.

My question is if everyone is working as a volunteer as Obama recommends then how will they afford one of these more expensive cars?

I think the DOT calculates that for every mile increase in the CAFE standard translates into 2,500 additional fatalities per year.

I could build one right now that could get 50MPG and do at least 100MPH with two people in it.
