DeLay, of course, became the face of Republican congressional corruption in the 2006 cycle.

And Chris Bell, the face of Democrat partisanship...

Is Congressman Murtha About To Become the New Tom DeLay?

No. DeLay was innocent.

If the people of his district had any sense, he would become the ex-congressman.

Apparently, they do and he won’t.

well, if the Dimocrat long knives are out for Nancy P, it makes sense that her lackey Murtha will be going down with her (no danger that either of those districts would go GOP or anything)

using the powers of one's congressional office to try to prevent someone from challenging the Member would be a violation of 18 USC 245(B)(1)(a), which prohibits interfering with someone who's trying to engage in federally protected activities -- like campaigning for office.

Oh yea - the rule of law always stops the RAT's dead in their tracks.

Delay had trumped-up charges by a political hack that were thrown out.

Murtha has factual(in how own words) legal problems plus issues like laundering taxpayer monies to his family that cannot be pushed under a rug.

You cannot make comparison arguments here at all.

Sorta like saying an bystander civilian accidently shot by US military in Iraq is comparable to the brutal beheading of an American by Al Queida is the same. Yes, the same result(someone dies) but not the same way to treat them.

In 2006, Murtha's opponent recieved 39% of the vote. In 2008, Murtha's opponent recieved over 42% of the vote.

Clearly, there is an increasing number of people in the district who are fed up with the old coot.

Dear Russell Brigade Member:

This morning POLITICO reported something from our campaign's ‘strange but true' file - take a look at the story when you have a minute. Murtha's team prides itself in a hardball brand of old politics, but this incident crossed every reasonable line, even by their standards.

I will be appearing on the Glenn Beck program on FOXNEWS tomorrow evening, check your local listing for airtimes.

It's been an incredible few months since last November's Round One bout with Mr. Murtha, and our campaign hasn't wasted a minute. When I announced on Election Night that our fight against the Murtha Agenda wasn't over, I meant it.

We've recently re-launched the campaign webquarters, RussellBrigade.com with a new feature to help you follow the incredible trials and tales of Mr. Murtha -- we're calling it "Where's Jack Murtha?"

From the ongoing FBI investigation into the growing Murtha earmark scandal to his incredible statements on Guantanamo and torture, the case against his automatic re-election gets stronger every day.

We're working on some major projects right now that we will be announcing to you first! Please be sure to open our update emails so you don't miss a thing.

Thanks for all you're doing for Freedom's Cause. I value your friendship and support.

With gratitude,

Bill Russell

P.S. Our post-election fundraising has been impressively strong, thanks to friends like you. If you're able, please consider making a monthly contribution of just $25 a month, to keep the lights on at headquarters this summer!
