Follow up.. Only 2 were taken to the hospital, but they were not life threatning injuries.
Trying to imagine 43 multi-ethnic transexuals racing for the Cup in their hybrids.
It will be called the 2012 San Fransisco Gay Marathon.
Imagine trying to adjust the toe-in on these to handle a 31 degree bank at Daytona....
If that car had went through or over that fence, Nascar would have been over and done with.
An amazing finish!
Trying to recall, didn’t Davy Allison’s dad go airborne in the same manner years ago at Talladega? (Can’t even think of his first name...)
Yep! It would have been a huge tragedy! Thankfully it wasn’t!
Neil Bonnet went into the fence also in the early 90s’.
Me and my brother-in-law were in row 32 at the time.
You have never seen so many people trying to get behind an bechback back seat in your life.
With Talladega, the first 5-6 rows can’t really see anything until the action is basically right on top of them.
Those folks didn’t see anything until the car was allready airborne, to late to move then.
Looks like Brad trashed Carl on purpose at the last second. Brad went up then down, but Carl blocked him, so Brad angled Carl’s rear and turned him like a corkscrew. Just damn.
NASCAR and the drivers involved see it differently.
I assumed that to be the case. I am not a NASCAR watcher, but was watching the race and my impression was that Brad knew he was going to be beat and was trying anything to win. That's fine if the rules support it, but trying to flip an opponents car around seems a bit far to me.
