The Washingtonian is clearly not a well funded operation, since they have a rank amateur doing heavy duty PhotoShop work for their front cover, of all things. I don't claim to be exactly a guru, but it wouldn't be so readily detectable if I'd done it. It's actually sort of comical looking. Hey, Washingtonian PhotoShop guy, ever heard of adding noise back in afterwards, to conceal the typical softness evident after major pixel editing? And what's up with those shorts? Do they weigh several pounds, in order for that weird drape to make any sort of visual sense? Did you not notice the difference in visual texture, close to original above the neck and from the knees down, and your fuzzy "work?" Unemployment's pretty high in the graphic arts outside the DC bubble. You might find yourself replaced with someone more skilled, lol.

I was waiting in my pharmacy this morning and happened to see a magazine cover (I believe it was “In Touch”) and it had O & his wife snuggling, with the caption something like “How we keep our love alive”.

I about vomitted! Who in the heck cares? These 2 are acting like they’re hollywood celebs...I don’t care about their love lifes either. Since when does the office of POTUS stoop to such levels? I’m disgusted!

I think someone needs to inform them that the popularity contest and the school prom is over.

They should take some tips from Pres Bush & his endearing wife...they had class!

You act surprised. Nothing new here. Touching up photos of favored ( and unfavored) actors, models, politicians is at least as old as airbrushing and probably as old as photography itself. Heck we have all seen the Time cover of Limbaugh with the devil horns.
Making 0bama look like a Greek god is just par for the course. heck I would not be suprised to see photos of him walking on water or healing the sick. Water into wine? No problemo.

photoshop alterations to the Obama image to enhance it to make it more pleasing to look upon.

They could have put a paper bag over his head for the same reason.

"This one is typically disgusting."

As much as they try - there is no way to hide the 'man-boobs' & skinny legs without a lot more effort.

Seeing as the Washingtonian isn’t really a news magazine, i don’t think it matters either way. Besides Time or Newsweek in most cases, heavy photoshopping is rampant, and nothing new.

Yep, they covered his vagina completely.
