I did some outdoor burning yesterday for Earth Day, so I did my part. And it was raining, so it wasn't easy!

I’ve always been fascinated by mercury. My Daddy used to have a bottle of it in the console of his Olds 442. I used to sneak and play with it. When my son replaced the thermostat in his house he gave me the old mercury do-hickey because he knew that I like stuff like that.

Good LORD! Those things have MERCURY VAPOR in them! If you read the cautions on the back they more or less tell you to treat each broken light bulb like a HAZMAT scene!
