Thanks! I hope Mark knows how much we appreciate his stand for the Constitution and America.
Actually, we got there just after 11, my sister and brother-in-law were near the very end of the line, and I’m coming out of the door with our books ... so I’d say more like about 11:20 - 11:30.
I have to say, my reactions were much the same as I read here ... I took such heart seeing the turnout. We also were impressed, when we were still out in the cold and damp at 5pm, still in good spirits, that the line had been so friendly and orderly. And, unlike pictures of the inauguration, appeared that nobody left any trash. In retrospect, it really was a very heartening way to spend a Saturday.
THE FOLLOWING WAS WRITTEN BY A LIBERAL ON A LEFT-WING LEANING RADIO & TV BLOG AFTER I POSTED THE VIDEO OF MARK LEVIN’S BOOK SIGNING. I SOMETIMES POST 630WMAL STUFF THERE (MUCH TO THEIR CHAGRIN).... LOOK:
“Honestly, Silvie, who really cares? You go and stand in line for six hours in the drizzle to see one of your ‘heroes’ so he can sign a book and you come here and make it sound like the Second Coming. Whoop-dee-doo. We, aside from the WMAL lurkers, honesly do not give a SHIT. And what does Nancy Pelosi have to do with a two-bit Bob Grant wannabe radio host? NOTHING. And don’t come here and tell us about how many stations Levin is on, or about how is now a three-hour thing, or about how many people showed up at his little party. Again, we do not CARE. We have more important things to concern ourselves with than some angry self-loathing bitter radio guy who writes juvenile and factually-challenged crap and screeches about it on the radio to keep the lights on. Oh, and whose local affiliate is skating on thin ice these days. Mike in Manassas (3/30/09)”
