I’ll take the one in the middle thanks!
Are you so illiterate that you were unable to tell there were more than two choices?
How sad for you.
I lied my way into the army with a disqualifying medical condition and went on to be a flash qualified medic in Co A, 1st Battalion, 7th SF Group, team 714.
Dad was an up from the ranks Major who lost his arm in Germany with Patton. Two uncles Marines in the Pacific, another ran Liberty ships to Russia.
There is no education that would not, especially elite, benefit the military.
Young males, coming from long wealthy families, and elite educations and letting other stand their time on the ramparts of freedom while they pursue personal pursuits is, to me pathetic, at best.
Anyways, do care to specualte on why Romney males are so adverse to defending this country? Is it cowardness, self ceternedness, Morman brainwashing, greed, “our lives are too important to be wasted”, what do you think?
So you didn't vote for McCain in the primary. Either did I. But an awful lot of people who think that the party has to move to the middle did. Saying you don't care how a Presidential candidate ran a state as Governor, isn't any different than the people who said they didn't care that Obama didn't have executive experience.
LOOK WHAT IS PRESIDENT NOW! My point is any of these Republican Candidates would be a blessing at this point. Even ones I hated like Rudy and Ron Paul. Even McINSANE!
He, like Bush, and the GOP Senate, and almost the entire financialist, of which Mitt made his wealth exclusively from, would of been for these trillion dollar bailouts.
Mitt’s not a think out of, nor act out of, the box person. He is by nature, very very establishment.
These bailouts are the wish and desire of his class of American.
Mitt was for the Utah Olympics bailout.
Mitt proposed in the Michigan primaries a 20 billion dollar bailout for Detroit.
Mitt pushed and got socialist Romney care.
Spend, tax, bailout, command citizens. That is Mitt. Although I heard that there are three people in the country that have some notion that Mitt is a conservative now. Not that he has to politically do any conservative action as he is out of office. How convenient for someone that has a rep for talking out of both sides of his mouth.
I choose not to throw my vote away. I did that once and it got us Clinton.
After attending Stanford University for two quarters, Romney served in France for 30 months as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. FYI: Romney is fluent in French, unlike the current pretender who wants us to learn Spanish and doesn't speak a second language himself.
Lousy military record.
Compared to whom? Romney received a ministerial deferment from the military draft while in France, and three years of deferments while a student. When he became eligible for military service in 1970, his high number in the annual draft lottery meant he would not be drafted.
As a Vietnam veteran myself and a volunteer, I do not hold this against Romney. If this is the criterion, then very few of the candidates in 2008 would have met it.
One term Governor, left stat GOP in ruins.
Pure BS. MA is as close to a one party state as there is in the nation. Here is the current composition of the state legislature: Senate: 35 Dems/5 Reps; House: 142 Dems/16 Reps/1(I); 1 Vacancy (Suffolk 3). There are no Reps in the Congressional delegation. The very fact that Romney was able to get elected to the Governorship in this bluest of blue states is truly amazing.
In the 2008 GOP MA primary, Romney received more that 50% of the vote from his home state. McCain couldn't even win 50% of the vote in his home state, AZ, the only top tier candidate of either party who didn't. And in 2008, Romney won the CPAC straw poll.
Romney is head and shoulders above any of the candidates who ran last year of either party. Clearly, competence is not a prerequisite for becoming the nominee or the President. I sure as hell would have preferred Romney over McCain.
The GOP is a loser for coming up with candidates like McCain.
Sure Obama is a disaster, and although you are saying anyone but Obama would be better, that's just speculation (and hope) on your part. It isn't just Obama, it's the whole damn Congress. Having Rudy, McCain or any RINO as President wouldn't matter one damn bit, because Congress is controlled by the liberals, and that includes morons like Spector, Collins and Snowe. And sadly, I don't think that Rudy, Romney, Huckabee, etc. would have the gumption to push back against the Democrats. I can't see them being any different than Bush was when it comes to signing spending Bills.
After vowing not to vote at all, I held my nose and voted for McCain in November. But after his lack-luster performance on the road, his refusal to fight for the office, along with his post-election treatment of Palin, I've vowed I will never vote for another RINO ever again. I don't care if Kim Jong Il ends up in the White House because of it. I will never compromise my principles in the years I have left on this earth. Voting for McCain left me feeling soiled and used. The party has gone to hell, and until they nominate a GENUINE CONSERVATIVE, not some wannabe, I won't be voting at all.
Boy, is that a suprise (NOT). Imagine covering ones bases and donating to all of the candidates who had the potential to be president as well as the top legislators involved in regulating their business. What corporation would do that?
He sound presidential UNTIL you realized he has been on every side of every issue!
Then you realize he is the Chameleon of US Presidential politics.
McCain badder, so Mitt very double plus good?
So, Mormonism first, country second?
OK. Fine.
Utah Real Estate bailout with federal taxpayer funds for, basically, a glorified athletic event.
Detroit bailout. ( McCain said Detroit would have to make it on it’s own. )
By the way, abandoning his Governorship half way trough to go full time on the campaign trail?
Up until Mitt, we had five Republican govs in a row. Mitt getting it was anything but amazing. Citizens are desperate to vote for anyone, even slightly, different from the Democrats. That he thought his hand picked airhead Harvard ‘Muffy’ would get elected is a testament to his political colourlessness. Kind of like when he was the only Republican in the country to say he wasn’t a Reagan man, AFTER, Reagan turned the economy around, turned the moral of the country around, rebuilt the military and took the offense to the Soviets. And then there is Mitt, Mr. French speaker, saying he wasn’t a Reagan guy. Even Tip O’Neil credited with Reagan pulling Mass Democrats away from the Democrat party. Mitt didn’t even notice. Not that he has any street smarts or the feel for popular sentiment outside of the results of a paid polling company.
Mitt main support. Mormons. GOP/RNC elitists. And, as typical of the pathetic GOP, he pulls the ‘I’m less sucky than the other losers’ vote.
whoa... 15 minutes of on the spot interview without a teleprompter? how is that possible?
forget the 0bama-bots that have been attacking Romney since day one.
Romney was the right guy for 2008... and he’s the right guy for 2012. (i’d personally like to see Romney/Palin in 2012)
Bingo! It is not a canidate problem, it is a class problem.
The evangelical hucksters will not allow Romney to be a candidate. See, he’s a MORMON. Magic underpants thing.
Yes, he would be great right now, instead of the teleprompter. Yes, he would have won, compared to McInsane.
Doesn’t matter. He’s a MORMON!!!!
Evangelicals rejoice.
I have very little tolerance for your religious bigotry.
Up until Mitt, we had five Republican govs in a row
Oh really. Name them, including those were acting and not elected. You don't have your facts straight. Typicial.
Just think, if he was black you clowns could play the race card too. While you’re at it you should hook him up with a boyfriend to put that card in your deck.
