Is Smart Grid Energy Technology Too Smart?
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,488548,00.html
(snip)
the idea behind the smart grid is basically two-way communications. Just like you’re talking about pumping energy into the house, you’re also talking about sucking information out. There is really no difference between there will be no difference between your house and a computer.

If you want to get electricity to your house, you will have to put in a meter and thermostat that sends information about how much electricity you are using and the setting on your thermostat. If you are using more than "your share" the energy police will cut you off or automatically control your thermostat.
These people are power hungry, control freaks, elitist snobs, Nazis, whatever you want to call them and must be stopped.

.” Further, he proposes that these “special power lines” be placed where the federal government says they should be placed. He says that to do this the Federal government would “be able override states” in the placement of these power / LAND GRAB it’s for the children.

He seems hell-bent on recreating the situation in Atlas Shrugs. If had finished the book he wouldn't be.

We were talking about sending info over the power grid about 8 years ago (back when I worked for one of the big bad phone companies). It’s analogous to how powered land lines work.

We knew this was coming. Here are zer0’s words:
We cant drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times
and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,
Government control of our power, government control of the food industry, government control of what vehicles we can drive.
When I heard those comments I was like WTF??? WTF? Now I get it.
