Sgt. Philip Paz and officer Bryan Jones told him
the Secret Service could construe the sign
as a threat to the president. (overzealous)

That’s a mouthful - but catchy. It put quite an image in my head. Funny though, now I can’t seem to finish my M&M’s. They probably weren’t a good breakfast choice anyway. Just another advantage of FR - helping to preserve my health. Thanks for the laugh.-—JM

as this administration reveals itself, there will be more & more Americans that wake up...
Most FReepers are well tuned in, but unfortunately a majority of voters were not.

could construe the sign as a threat to the president. Talk about construing things. How about shooting a cartoon monkey? Al Sharpton thought that it was racist slur. I thought it was a dig on the porkulus bill. One of us thought the monkey looked like Obama. So who's the racist?

The only “problem” with Conservative “hate groups” is that the members all have a very warped sense of humor and laugh a lot. Life’s too short to take it seriously.

So are they finally officially acknowledging that “Abort” means “Kill”?
Because in the pro-abortion debate it just means to “end a pregnancy”, which would mean this man wanted to “End Obama’s presidency”, but to say it is a threat implies “Abort” really means “Kill or harm”.
Right?

#4 pulled with regrets, because of a copyright complaint from IBD, which publishes Ramirez. A link

Brilliant Freeper Analysis and Post of the Day!
A Democratic administration certainly can't construe the word "Abort" to mean "Kill" -- if they did the NARAL counsel now serving at DOJ would have a fit.

Would the world have been off if Hitler hadn’t been born? Was it better off when Hitler departed this orb for Hell? Seem like easy enough questions to answer. Now, let’s just segue to 2009...................................................

Honestly, the answer is yes. But spiritually, it took that man to bring such extreme violence and death and suffering to fulfill the Bible’s prophecy of Isreal becoming a nation again.
So I don’t know. Depends on your viewpoint and religious belief I suppose.
IMO, he needed to die and the world would have been better off if he had never been born.

Personally, I suggest we all put “Abort Obama, not babies” signs in our car windows.

Isn't that the very reason our Founding Fathers knew it would be necessary to spell out the freedom of speech from day one? The fact that the speech would frequently be very upsetting to the majority, or a even a minority? The very fact that the person exercising that freedom would be expressing an idea that others would find detestable or worse. You need no First Amendment or Constitutional right to express support for a popular idea or distaste for an unpopular notion. It's the other way around.
Abortion is not illegal in this country. It's not a crime to refer to it, or wish someone had been the victim of it. Distasteful, hate-filled, bad taste, maybe so, but it's not illegal and it's certainly what the Founders had in mind when they penned the First Amendment.
