We have a lot of angry people who could go desperate. That is a scary recipe for the fed to step in even further, and ultimately force our hand.
Celente is the worst case scenario. However, when he says we are skipping along and accepting state run capitalism, most agree. Fortunately I was taught at an early age that state run capitalism is fascism.
These are wild times.
Thanks - but WHO are the angry people, why are they angry and who will they fight? Basic questions. In the early 80’s, we had 15% prime, 10% unemployment, high taxes, high inflation and no growth. No riots - Carter just lost the election.
Who? The poor who were promised the world. The government is way over their head in just a few weeks time. That is the lightning rod, not angry constitutional revolutionaries. The crime spreading up from Mexico is not helping the prospects of a rebirth of small government in the next 4 years either.
Next time, try a more credible news outlet!
We conservatives will always be better equipped for the rigors and deprivation of a revolution because they actually believe in liberty. Can you imagine the majority of youth today willing to give up their Playstation/XBox, their weed, their beer, sex etc. to fight a revolution? Subconsciously that is why they believe in a all-powerful state so that they can be left to self-indulge with no need to be personally involved in the welfare of their fellow citizens.
The very narcissistic nature of many youth today (doesn't mean many don't have good qualities), learned primarily from the entertainment and academia wings of society, by definition means that they have learned to talk a good game about compassion, anti-racism, anti-homophobia, environmentalism, yada yada but in the end as long as they claim to be for all of the liberal dogma they don't have to actually practice it - just keep their transgressions under the radar.
We conservatives have been toughened by dealing with the constant demand of the left to take the easy way out and never fight the inherent hypocrisy of modern liberalism but our honest conscience demands that when we see the emperor wears no clothes, we tell him or her to put some clothes on and let's talk.
tax revolts? why?
I think tax revolts will happen as people have no choice. The govt. takes our money and spends it for whatever they want, like ACORN. People will begin to lose everything and stop paying taxes to survive. When you lose everything, you have nothing to lose, then you lose it! That sort of thing.

tax revolts? why?
LOL!
Yaa I LOL’ed too as I thought to myself, is this person for real?

We DID NOT have a MARXIST president that want to RULE us.
We have been taxed to death already and in some states like NY/MA its getting obnoxious. Still, people just take it - what else are they going to do?
The only way a tax revolt can happen is if its executed like an organized labor strike. That won’t happen, so tax revolts are unlikely.
Especially considering that taxes are highest in liberal strongholds where people are not armed.
“So should we cower down and lick the hands of our masters?”
No, I’m merely suggesting some thought about the realities before advocating the use of violence against the govt.
“People are afraid of their children getting bit by a bug, you really think they are going to line them up for a Revolution?”
LOL I agree with you. But, remember our original american revolution was accomplished by just 1/3 of the population. Rush has said several times that 1/3 were sympathetic to England, 1/3 didn’t give a hoot, and the other 1/3 did the fighting.
So, I still think we have maybe 1/3 of our current U.S. population who would be willing to fight. And we do have reason to fight. Our First and Second Amendment rights are hanging by a thread as we speak!
How will tax revolts happen? That is, the majority of our federal taxes are taken right out of our paychecks by “withholding”.
HEY!!!!
You are RIGHT!
I needed to be reminded of that.
