When I traded in my DC Metro card today, and added some money to it, the new card that popped out had a picture of Obama on it! Oh, sick!
Were you there in early 2005 prior to the last Presidential inauguration? Did the Metro passes have Bush's picture on them?
I think I already know the answer.

In the U.S., it’s illegal to issue a stamp, with a president’s picture, until the president has been dead, for at least a year. That law was passed to ensure that the country has enough time to learn about any scandals that would cause Americans to oppose a stamp, in honor of the president. No location should be named after a president until the president has been dead for at least a year. While he’s president, at least a few of the people, who approved of the name change, will regret it.
