I agree. We’re both on the same page. Al is definitely weird. Not very bright but he does know how to run a scam.

Uh...hasn’t it been cooling lately. Serious scientists who watch solar activity are predicting the temps will bottom out around 2012...making for some thick ice caps.

Why didn’t Al run for pres again? Or be O’s climate czar?....he doesn’t want the public to see how green his bank account is getting from this nonsense.

BTW, for all you potential strip miners and land developers, there is no land under the arctic cap. Warm water has caused it to diminish in the last few years, even though air temps have dropped. The water temps lag air temps, so look for large ice cap gain soon.

Al is an idiot...but he is getting filthy rich from all this.

No, the “insane” Democrat according to the Democrats is Blago! People still believe in Al Gore and global warming even if they are freezing now!

Sometimes I do think TN people know more than Americans as a whole, mostly because they seemed to figure out Gore before the rest of American did.

Take a look at this ... then keep laughing.

Sept 2008 made a moderate recovery from the 2007 minimum, but it was still historically low. Sept 2007 was what sent everybody into a panic, predicting the North Pole would be open water in 2008, as it would have been if it continued to recede as dramatically as it had been doing since 2000. Even so, this recovery may be a "dead cat bounce", and while it's reason to hope things might be swinging the other way, there's no reason for confidence that the 2007 minimum won't be surpassed in the near future.

I live on Puget Sound in Washington State. This is how the current Special Weather Statement from the National Weather Service begins

... THE LONGEST STREAK OF COLD WEATHER SINCE DECEMBER 1990 IS ON THE WAY...

He must’ve figured the 10 yr. thingy wasn’t scary enough.

Now he wants us to tell our kids that Santa’s house will be gone in 5 yrs.

Algore is a complete fool; a complete idiot, a complete incompetent-imbicilic by nature. Disregard anything this no-body ever says.

I can’t tell if you’re joking. If I compare 12/12/80 to 12/12/08, it looks like we’ve gained ice...what am I missing?

You’re missing the difference between September and December. Did you look at my link ?

And furthermore, I can’t agree that 12/12/2008 shows more ice coverage than 12/12/1980 at this site. Please don’t be distracted by the white land areas depicting snow cover in 2008! Note Hudson Bay is not yet completely frozen in 2008, and the Barents Sea North of Scandanavia has significantly less coverage in 2008. There are several other points of comparison where 2008 has less coverage than 1980 for this date, albeit the difference is not nearly as dramatic as it is for the September minimum.

No.

I gave up all hope when Paul Ehrlich got a McArthur “genius grant” when he’s been consistently and completely wrong ever since the 1970s.

Is the optimal environment for the planet with or without ice at the poles? It seems that all the measuring and comparisons are done against a fix point in time but nothing against the optimal environment. What if the planet is healthier if the ice caps are gone or twice the size they are today?

I ask the optimal environment question all the time to GW activists. They cannot answer it. All they do is say it is warmer than the 1970s or early 1900s. There is no real discussion if the planet is better warmer, just that it is changing. Historically, warming periods increase human civilization, cold periods stifle it.

The other part of the question. If warming is occurring, what is the source? If a purely analytical research project was done I doubt CO2 would even be mentioned as a contributor. Since the planet’s main source of heat is the sun and the main source of heat retention is water vapor, I am amazed that they are summarily disregarded as contributors. This is/was Junior High science.

Gore is just despicable.

You’d think that a man with no science training and no common sense and who is probably mentally deranged might also be rather stupid.

But look at all the fools he’s fleecing to build his personal wealth.
