Half the local news is taken up by the murders, robberies, muggings and mayhem in Decatur and surrounding DeKalb County (Cynthia McKinney’s old district) you never hear much about Kennesaw.

I’m in the state where the need is beyond logic: Illinois.

There’s nothing dangerous about Kennesaw. That’s the point. Not to mention that most people want to act like Kennesaw is some hick-town in the middle of nowhere. It’s not. Kennesaw is a suburb of Atlanta, packed with a university, thriving businesses, affordable and high-end housing. The difference is that Kennesaw is proactive about citizenship.
