These people have been killing one another w/o any interference from us for over 60 years since independence, and beyond. Following independence (1947) train loads of Hindus fleeing south would arrive at stations with everyone on board murdered by Muslims. So, too, with Muslims heading north, except the perps were Hindus. (Much of the thanks for ths slaughter goes to the hopelessly unrealistic Ghandhi).

Chopra was born in India and knows the bloody history of the two groups. Just what he hopes to accomplish with this latest bs salvo is unclear, unless it is to cater to the powers that be at PBS so he can have even more air time to fleece his gullible flock.

Your first sentence and your second sentence contradict each other, and you can't even see it. You are attempting to link an incident in India, which has historical precedents which predate George W. Bush's birth, with the Iraq War. That is pure idiocy.

What the defeatist hand-wringers in this country don't realize is that Islam has been at war against the rest of the world since its formation. It has only been limited in its reach by the fact that every Muslim society is so backward that they cannot develop effective fighting technology en masse. It is a bloodthirsty religion which aims to convert everyone by the sword, and they ONLY respect strength. They do not respect negotiation, capitulation, fraternization, or modernization. They respect strength.

When we went in and took out the regimes in Afghanistan and Iraq, we showed them that strength. Had we done nothing when they attacked September 11, or had we treated it as a criminal issue, like many sniveling hippies want to, we would have been seen as weak, and would have been virtually begging for another attack.

Was Saddam Hussein supporting Al Qaeda? I, as a mere peon, don't know for sure. However, I do know that he intended very much to harm the US and other western countries, and the only real allies he had in that desire were the Muslim terrorists. To think that he would fail to take advantage of that natural allegiance would be silly, and to have an entire state apparatus supporting terrorist operations would have been doom for us all, especially if Hussein had gotten the nuclear program going that he was trying so hard to get.

Here in the U.S., we haven't had a single terrorist attack in seven years. Other countries, such as the UK and Spain, and of course, India, have been attacked since then, but not us. I am convinced that one of the major reasons for that is that we have projected strength, and the terrorists are now choosing their actions much more carefully. While W was in office, for all of his other failings, the terrorists most likely believed that another attack on the US would result in the loss of another national regime sympathetic or supportive to their cause.

There is an old saying that you, and others who shrink at the possibility of conflict, should take to heart: "To tolerate insult is to invite injury." The world is a jungle, and the law of the jungle will prevail.
