The media has been working with Obama, lying through their crooked teeth at every turn.

My old reply to that question-—Why vote for a friend of the Democrats when you can vote for a Democrat?

Out Liberalizing a Liberal has never worked for the GOP.

Its not the economy. Actually, it is. McCain poll #s have dropped precipitously since the crisis peaked. The masses will always blame the incumbent party in such crises, regardless of the facts.

McCain NEVER defends Bush on anything, and Obama keeps clobbering McCain/Bush. McCain needs to separate from Bush on many things, but McCain also needs to point out that:
1. We have had no terrorist attacks on US soil since, thanks to Bush.
2. Bush pushed hard for Fannie/Freddie reform, only to be stopped by Frank/Dodds year after year.
3. Bush's tax cuts did NOT hurt the economy, but helped up continue to grow through difficult times such as 911 and Katrina.
4. Bush had little to do with the Subprime crisis, which was the result of decades of bad policies which Bush tried to rectify.

I am worried that McCain, like Hubert Humphrey and Gerald Ford before him, is going to catch his stride and surge a little bit too late.
These last 3 weeks have been devastating to us. Absolutely devastating.
To: Mr. Mojo
the “incumbant” party in this case is the dems who control congress and who’s dem presidents set us up for this as far back as carter and clinton.....bush and mccain both brought forth the problems and suggested solutions, while the dems denied any problems and fought changes that could have saved us from this crisis.

McCain blew it when he voted for the bailout. There is no difference between he and Obama.

Obviously. But that’s not how much of the (blissfully ignorant) electorate sees it.

These last 3 weeks have been devastating to us. Absolutely devastating. Who says? The media and their hired pollsters making an effort to depress Republicans after McCain clearly won the first debate with their Anointed One and they needed to change the subject?
Thought so.

McCain must have some serious skeletons in the closet for him to vote for a massively pork-filled bailout bill.

“Its not the economy.” Um, sorry Roger, it is the economy. But the economic crisis is a Democrat engineered crisis, though joe-sixpack doesn't know that and the mainstream democrat sycophantic media assiduously avoids telling them that truth.

I spend a lot of time talking to folks.
People are still under the impression that the party of FDR and Clinton will save the economy.

The surge worked and we should drill. Obama shifted positions to accept McCain / Bush positions everywhere McCain was making points; for example
Obama / Biden: Four More Years of Bush
To: VRWC For Truth
So true. I’ll not vote for either of them on the 4th in 3o days.

But the economic crisis is a Democrat engineered crisis, though joe-sixpack doesn't know that and the mainstream democrat sycophantic media assiduously avoids telling them that truth. This, along with McCain's inept campaign style, is why I sense Obama is going to steal this election.
