Today is September 30, the 53rd anniversary of James Dean's death. Back when I was doing my hard copy "Scandal Sheet" comix (back in La-La Land) I had written up a long comix story about "James Dean: The Later Years" which was a What-If about if Dean had lived thru the car crash that killed him. In my alternate history, Dean ends up a complete has-been completely forgotten by Hollywood and ends up a lot like Aldo Ray, another big star of the time who ultimately became a has-been. That would have been FUn to publish but Scandal Sheet ceased publishing due to money flow problems.
Hey, another story in which I actually have the cartoon boards for was a Superman parody in whiched the caped hero worked at Chippendale's. Perhaps my bringing Joe Biden and the Democrat party down will bring me to the attention of Mary Matalin enough to let me pitch her on a DUmmie FUnnies book deal (with CD-ROM insert). Those stories would definitely be on the CD.
