I just snipped a few conclusions they made because it is so long.. I always find the Constitution Party folks over at the American View a complete trip. They are walking evidence of the old phrase, you can prove anything in the Bible..

The way I look at it, this issue was taken off the table when women got the right to vote. Our friends at the CP are just 80 years too late.

The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.
Judges 5:7.

The Constitution Party is, as usual, a complete joke.
Why would you name your party after something that you can't understand?

They say that if you take a text out of context, you make it a pretext.
Deborah was a judge over Israel, and one of the best of the bunch no less.

Its amazing that some folks think the Constitution Party is some purist standard bearer of the US Constitution. We’ve laughed at John Lofton, Michael Peroutka, and Chuckey Baldwin for a long time here..

I just remebered, there was an article a while back where John Lofton extolled the virtues of Sharia Law, basically, he said the only problem was it was based on the Koran, not the Bible, but the concept was right.. I need to dig that one up..

I would have expected more of this stuff by now.
In fact we had comments on this forum that a woman would not be qualified for the highest office in the land.

I think the .01% of people here who may believe that know they will be completely dissed by the 99.9% of the rest of us.

How is this site affiliated with the CP?
If the affiliation is credible, then this is legitimate criticism.

Thanks, I was wondering if anyone besides me remembered Deborah.

Besides, in the strictest sense, elected officials are not “rulers”, they are civil administrators, the “rulers” are the people who vote.

I think the .01% of people here who may believe that know they will be completely dissed by the 99.9% of the rest of us. A few years back the police stopped and arrested a woman for breastfeeding an infant while driving on an interstate.
Not only was she engaging in this almost inconceivably stupid activity, she was driving an unregistered and unlicensed vehicle.
She claimed that the arrest was religious discrimination because she and her husband were "Biblical Constitutionalists" and that she acknowledged no law except her husband's orders and her husband acknowledged no law that contradicted his interpretation of the Bible and the Constitution.
The husband signed up on FR to defend his demented opinions and received some support - but was pretty soundly thrashed by smarter FReepers.

It sounds even more powerful in the Hebrew, in my opinion.

I’d be interested in reading that when you find it. Will you post it and ping me, please?

The American View is run by Michael Peroutka, the Constitution party candidate for President in 2004 and still party leader. The American View has been linked from the Constitution Party’s official site as one of their official resources as well as Peroutka’s Institute on the Constitution.
It is, to the Constitution Party, what the DLC is to the DNC.

Okay, then like I said, it’s fair criticism. They’re not going to win anything with rhetoric like that being so closely affiliated with them. Of course I doubt they’ll win anything anyway but that’s in the nature of being a relatively unknown 3rd party.

I found it interesting that liberals were the most vocal saying that she wasn't qualified to be president when she was first announced.
She was greeted with wild support by 99% of conservatives.

I’m digging around and I’m not finding what I thought I remembered re the Sharia comment. There are several comments in the forums like that, but I thought there was an article with something like that in it..
