McCain better be ready to pound Obama now, the Messiah is just spreading one lie after another. The latest about McCain wanting to slash Social Security benefits by half is a bald-faced lie. He’s got to pound this guy into submission.

Im thinking something along the lines of that old sci-fi movie Scanners...make those politicians think twice about being stuck on stupid!!! ;-) STUCK ON STUPID!
Good ol' Gen. Honore of Hurricane Katrina renown. Hadn't thought about him on a while. I think he retired a couple a years back.
You know, I wouldn't mind seeing him in office, or perhaps an advisory, or even a Cabinet-level posistion.
He would be a third person in the McCain administration with real stones. :-)
Note to self: try to get that to the Mc/P campaign.

I was going to say that that falls under "political speech" and that's one of the things that the First Amendment was written for.
However, there's a certain McCain-Feingold act that acts if that were not so.

Sorry, Im not a lawyer so I dont understand why existing laws for falsifying facts under oath couldnt apply. Why would there need to be new rules?
Lawyers and Congress never enforce existing rules and laws. Their business is to make more (precise) laws which make for more loopholes, if's, and's and but's for them to deal with so that they will be even MORE necessary (relevant) to the scheme of things.
They build their own world for us to live in and they merrily go on doing what they want as they are not subject to most of those laws.
