the search function does NOT work as advertised though.

When ever I use search to locate a previous story or thread, it comes back "nothing matches" or something like that.

Apparently, if you don't know the exact title of the thread, or if you don't have an exact matchword, the search does not find anything.

If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong, please let me know. Thanks.

ROFL ... and did you know that 67% of statistics are made up right on the spot? 83% agree.

It doesn't always work, unfortunately. I find using keywords to be more reliable. Many many times I've done title searches that returned nothing only to find the same story later posted earlier with the same title.

* shrugs *

Let's see, if I already know the title of the article, that would mean that I've already read it and don't need to reread it, SO the search function isn't needed at all.

Just think how much faster FR will be after removing the search function, in fact, a study I just concluded shows that a hugh improvement that will stun your beeber will follow the removal of said search function!

A long time ago I suggested that it would be useful to have an automatic seach so that when you entered the URL or title the site would present you with a list of threads to consider if they are duplicates.

Also, it would be a nice feature if the sit would allow you an option to list threads in order of posting history. This would put the high traffic threads at the top of the list (one of the community web sites I go to does this).
