The world wants Obama because they know that he’s a pushover. And it’s apparently popular to push over the US right now.
a very interesting point for discussion... Do you think McCain is the right person for the job? Do you think conservative interests will be represented by John McCain? I really hate this whole campaign of “Vote for McCain, because Obama is worse” — What kind of campaign is that !!
Frustrated in Tallahassee, Florida
David
But he's looking like a pushover in terms of enviromental issues and he's sure to continue to allow the illegals to run rampant all over the country. There's something wrong when one walks through the aisles in WalMart and sees Spanish text facing outward on all the kitchen appliances.
I guess the best way I can put it is that I think that McCain is the best viable candidate available right now. I would love to have seen Duncan Hunter in the running, but the party and the press ignored him, as they seem wont to do with truly conservative candidates. But Duncan isn't in the running - we have McCain, Obama, and third party. Only the first two can actually win. Reluctantly, I will vote for McCain - this country can ill afford Obama in the big chair.
Thanks for your thoughtful reply... I think we share the same frustrations -— One of my many rants in the past has been about the NEED to retain the TWO-PARTY system at the Federal level... I think there is plenty of room for 3rd party candidates at the Local level -— Conservative folks who are frustrated with the Direction of the Republican party would probably do well — in fact I have thought of running for a seat on the local Republican Executive committee -— however I take issue with the “Speak no EVIL against fellow Republicans OATH” — and decided that I just can’t swollow that pill this year.. at least not right now.. maybe I will get over it soon — and when/if I do FReepers will be the first to know :)
Until then....

“If the World Could Vote — As of right now — 86% of the WORLD prefers OBAMA”
I wipe my backside with what “the world” thinks. I don’t want a POTUS that they love, I want one that commands their respect.
Mexico 85.7% (Obama)- 14.3% (McCain)
How....ironic, LMAO!
I agree with you... but it is still worth talking about... I find it very funny myself... As for McCain -— like I said many time — I will likely end up voting for him in November with my nose plugged.. but in the meantime not a penny to the RNC or McCain campaign... The Republican party has really lost it’s way and needs a MAJOR shift to the right of face extinction IMHO..
