No one seems to have heard an apology but B. Hussein Obama...sort of like Hillary’s sniper experience. They have their own reality when it comes to what they think voters want to hear. One can only imagine what they would be like in office.
That’s been bugging me since yesterday. You can’t find it, BECAUSE IT DOESN’T EXIST.
If it doesn't exist, it will soon.
Should've posted this one, instead.
Thanks..so I’m NOT nuts..(whew)...well, why hasn’t ANY columnist, or any talking head, pointed this out?
I don't interpret BHO's comments as saying that Wright said anything about his rants.
BHO simply stated the things that would have to happen, or not happen, in order for him to leave that church.
He puts two conditions on Wright, the first being that Wright not leave the church, the 2nd, that he acknowledge the comments were inappropriate.
Since the first condition is not met, the 2nd is a non-starter.
We do not have to imagine in Hillary’s case, as we saw it when Bill was in WH
Obama spokesman Bill Burton said the senator’s remarks did not imply that Wright has expressed misgivings about his statements.
“Sen. Obama was clearly saying that were Rev. Wright not retiring, he would need to be assured that the reverend understood why what he had said had deeply offended people and mischaracterized the greatness of this country,” Burton said.
Gotta disagree..go to the link in #10..Barry is saying that Wright had indeed “acknoiwledged, etc...”
"Had the reverend not retired and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying there at the church,"
BHO is placing 2 conditions on Wright. If Wright meets those two conditions, BHO says he would leave.
The first condition is that Wright not leave the church. Since Wright has in fact retired, whether Wright met the 2nd condition or not is no longer a factor to BHO.
Obama said:
“... and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate ...”
I read that as saying Wright has acknowledged that what he said was offensive/inappropriate.
Again, the Obama camp puts a condition on Wright's behavior that are impossible to meet before any other action needs to take place. If Wright resigns, everything they say that should happen after that becomes irrelevant because the requirement was that Wright NOT resign.
Reading what Burton said- they are parsing this in a way that must make Bill Clinton secretly proud..
And of course, a complicit media to help them twist and distort empty words into something substantive.
double-talk-alert.
