Good post Wildcat!

I also hope Texans will retire Kay Bailey and elect someone who cares about securing our borders

This should NOT help her future political plan!

Retirement from senate
On October 16, 2007 Matt Mackowiak, a spokesman for Hutchison, said she would not seek re-election after her current Senate term and may leave before the term ends in 2012 to run for Texas governor. Hutchinson told Texas Monthly magazine that stepping down in two years “has to be considered.”

In the interview Hutchison said it is probably better for Texas for her to leave early and give someone else a chance to start building seniority before the class of 2013. However, Hutchison said she had not yet made a decision as to whether to run for the governorship. “It’s too early to be gearing up. I don’t want to peak in 2007 for a 2010 race. Would I like to do it? Yes. A lot of things have to happen to make it a reality. You can’t plan that far ahead with certainty,” Hutchison said.

Hutchison considered challenging Gov. Rick Perry (R-Texas) in 2006, but backed out. “It was not the right time for Texas and it was probably not the right time for the Republican Party to have that kind of challenge,” she told the magazine. However, she said now there was not anyone who could make a case that a run for the governorship would be divisive for the Republican Party in a way that would make her step back.

If Hutchison does run for governor and wins, once she would step down as senator a temporary appointment would be made by the governorto fill the Senate seat until an election would be held.

It's really gettin fatiguing with all these honyocks that are supposed to be representing us doing us out of a homeland with secure borders all the damned time!!!

I guess another job Americans won't do is get elected and then act with integrity to carry out the wishes of the ones that vote for 'em!!!

These elected peckerheads are no better than the agents of King George who brought on the Boston Tea Party!!!

The trouble is... you can't get a revolution goin until their acts become more than obscene, totally corrupt and totally amoral... THEN, enough people can finally be moved to act!!!

IMHO this is an indication why Ron Pauls contributions fund is doing so well. The average American citizen who has not bothered to vote in past elections is fed up with *political tricks* from the Senate and the Congress.

These people are hoping that Ron Paul will begin the restructering of government in Washington into a smaller, more responsive federal government. When our political leaders do everything possible to deceive us of their true intent, it is time for change.

A different philosophy perhaps, but yes, overall, the phenomenon has the same underpinnings of the Ross Perot revolt.

Perot quit midstream and damaged his chances, but still got neary 19% of the vote. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

I understand that! But like all Libertarians, I always find one, or two major issues that I cannot possible stomach with the Dr. Of course I was forced to vote for GWB knowing that he harbored unstomachable issues because it was a choice between him and Sore/Loserman, then Kreepy Karey who served in Vietnam, ya know!!!

I support the war in Iraq/WOT and the war on drugs and there are still other people available to vote for who share my concern for those issues. Dr. Paul does not and there are too many leftist Dems hangin around his campaign for me to stomach. Sorry.

I am beginning to wonder where it all ends. The rats are enough to keep up with and now it seems we are going to have to be looking over our shoulders at Texas Republicans now. The difference between Rats and Pubs are so slight now, in many cases, it would be hard to fit a piece of paper in between the two.

The Texas girls (I stand by that) are liberals owned by corporations. They only bend to the Constitution and electorate when in fear of losing. Hence their desire to create a new electorate.

Kay Bailey and Cornyn? WTF?

BOTH have been on the WRONG side of this issue all along. If you look back on their ‘records’, IIRC, Cornyn had proposed a bill that would grant amnesty and KBH sought to introduce (sneak in) Pence’s touchback amnesty scheme....similar to what Huckabee is proposing. IMO, both are on ‘Team Bush’.

Thanks for the ping.

“If Duncan Hunter is not elected you can kiss American Sovereignty goodbye.”

Absolutely!! IMO, Duncan Hunter is the ONLY candidate, Republican or Democrat (and that includes ALL Republican candidates, except Tancredo) who can be trusted with our Sovereignty and Security!!

The difference between Rats and Pubs are so slight now, in many cases, it would be hard to fit a piece of paper in between the two.

The GOP has been so eager to expand its voter base to win at all costs that it has moved towards the socialist left and abandon Conservatism in order to appeal to those who are not Conservative. The result are politicians like Bush, Hutchison and many of the GOP candidates. We can reverse the trend by having Duncan Hunter as the nominee and President.

Kay Baily is planning on returning to Texas to replace GoodHair as Governor and Cornyn is up for reelection.

They don’t want to piss off their future constituency.

I couldn’t agree with you more! If it is happening in Texas, right in front of us, what is happening elsewhere in the little known/inhabited states?

If you want to see some REAL spin about various candidates, stop in here. Unbelievable what some are saying is acceptable!
