John Kerry mulls another run at the Swift Boat Vets

Are the Swift Boats Vets responsible for John Kerry making an a@@ of himself in this and other idiotic pictures the jerk *posed* for?

Wow! You are from Massachusetts and you drove around with that on the back of your car! I am impressed to say the least! You must have had a lot of fun with that... I can only imagine the looks you got. ;-)

Well, there was ONE memorable experience...I was driving to work one morning, and I heard a honk as a car passed me on my left. I looked over in time to see a gray-haired lady with a bun flipping me the bird.

I had to giggle at that one...being flipped off by a little old lady...:)

OTOH, as I thought about it, she might have been only in her fifties...you know how some of the earthy-crunchy hippie types find some kind of odd pleasure in making themselves less attractive in a variety of ways (not bathing, neglecting their hair, wearing run down clothes for effect)

I think she might have been one of those.

However, the highlight was one night when I pulled into a gas station to fill up, and a guy came over to me and struck up a conversation. He was a medic from the 82nd Airborne who had just returned from Afghanistan, and he wanted to say thanks and tell me how refreshing it was to see someone in Massachusetts who wanted to tell the way it is about Kerry.

Needless to say, I was flattered and somewhat chagrined. What the hell was THIS guy saying thank you to ME for? Sheesh...if I had seen the bumper sticker on his car (82nd Airborne) I would have been thanking him first.

I got a chance to meet quite a few of the Swift Boat Vets in front of Walter Reed Hospital the night before the Gathering of Eagles back in March. The level of disgust they have for Kerry is apparent in the tone of their voices and their entire demeanor. In particular, they had particular contempt for his attempt to use them as a springboard for his campaign, knowing full well how they all felt about him. If I could summarize, in my opinion, they all view him as a sanctimonious, self-aggrandizing, pompous, slandering, malingering, scheming, gold-plated phony. And those were the nice things they had to say.

That's exactly why they had to stand up to that creep. Being used by Kerry is disgusting and I am glad they took him to the woodshed for it.

Bill Clinton clearly dodged the draft and yet in 1992 and 1996 he ran against WWII veterans who both took enemy fire (GHW Bush was shot down and Bob Dole lost the use of his hand). Military service was determined to be irrelevant in a run for the White House.

Cut to 2004 and John Kerry is deriding the manner in which GW Bush served (stateside) and entertaining the rumors (supported by forged documents) that GW Bush was AWOL. Then Kerry had the brass balls to stand shoulder to shoulder along side Bill Clinton and make these same derisions towards Bush’s military service. Standing next to a draft dodger who LOATHES the military (according to a letter he wrote).

THAT John Kerry got 48% of the vote. They didn’t care about any of the crap that was being said. Yellow Dog Red Dupe Diaper Doper Babies.
