My first thoughts. This might lead to some interesting places. I am envisioning a renewed investigation with airtime. And in fact, maybe even impeachment? Am I dreaming???
Someone explain to me, even in the insane mind of a DUmmie, how this could lead to impeachment?
To: PJ-Comix
It probably took this long to get the CONCLUSIVE evidence - but he must have it or he wouldn't be doing this. Yes, and Dan Rather never does ANYTHING without making sure the evidence is conclusive.

Sometimes PJ, these DU threads that you post are right on the thin line between being funny and an exhibit of insanity.
I’m a little uncomfortable laughing at these people because I know they need serious help.
..
Oh, what the heck...
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Rove? BWHAHAHAH! Impeachment??? BWHAHAHHA

My hero Dan Rather! I literally cried like a baby when he stepped down. Literally? Did you need changed or fed?

This all just goes to prove that one has to be crazy to be a Democrat today. These people are nuts. Seriously, these people are conceited and filled with hatred for their adversaries. They have descended into psychosis.

Just imagine if the discovery phase includes a deposition of the RW blogger who posted, within minutes, about the arcane typographical clues (an IBM typewriter of the period's ability to do proportional spacing and superscripting) that sent the story into a spiral of recrimination and corporate CYA that did Rather in, and saved *'s ass. Oh yeah, putting Buckhead on the stand is going to really help Dan's case!

It's "Bizarro World" over there.
Dan Rather reminds me of the rich brothers turned bums from "trading places" that Eddie Murphy gives the money to outside of the restaurant in "Coming to Amercia".

Rather Files $70 Million Lawsuit Against CBS Filed from a Kinko's in Abilene, Texas.

giving him insufficient airtime on 60 Minutes. . . . He wasn't old enough yet.
To: PJ-Comix
seriously damaged his reputation. That's like saying the Las Vegas prosecutors are seriously damaging the reputation of O.J. Simpson.
To: PJ-Comix
the suit names CBS and its chief executive, Leslie Moonves; Viacom and its chief executive, Sumner Redstone; and Andrew Heyward, the former president of CBS News. All obviously members of some Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy.
To: PJ-Comix
made him a scapegoat. . . . Or, finally admitted he's a moonbat.

in an attempt to pacify the White House, SeeBS wanting to "pacify" a Republican White House?! Since when?

though the formal complaint presents virtually no direct evidence to that effect. Details. . . .
To: PJ-Comix
though the formal complaint presents virtually no direct evidence to that effect. It's a groundless but accurate complaint.
To: PJ-Comix
It's not enough money. Should have been $100 million at least. Dan is just $30 million away from suing for enough.
To: PJ-Comix
Dan Rather knows exactly what he is doing Suing for $70 million and hoping for, say, a $7 million settlement because CBS doesn't want to be bothered.

It probably took this long to get the CONCLUSIVE evidence. . . . BTW, has O.J. tracked down the real killer yet?
