Full acquittal followed by impeachment proceedings reg Sen Murtha.
It's a damn shame that they have to put up with garbage like this from traitors like Murtha.
God bless these guys. They're doing yeomen's work, and getting condemned from congress.
Nat Helms is a uniquely skilled guy: former newspaper reporter, cop, and Marine. He is interviewing Kilo Co members and turning it over to the defense attorneys.
Regarding the charges, we're still awaiting official word that charges have been dropped against Capt Stone and LCpl Sharratt.
Otherwise, we're roughly half-way through the Article 32s. Today will be day two of LCpl Tatum hearing for actions in houses one and two (diagram below)...
also get those pilots to testify...
The lawyers have the Scan Eye video as well that shows the whole story. It’s been declassified so lots of folks are trying to get it out the public. So far, it hasn’t been released. (Why is it that only the bad guys leak?)
The media has NEVER given a picture of all that company was going through that day. Don’t they realize these guys are talking about Squads....not platoons, not companies, not battalions, but Squads. Just like Haman is saying here, squads are so close to each other they do everything together. They eat, sleep, ____, shoot, move, communicate, party, etc. together.
In short, if their backup squad was going through this hell that Haman describes on that fateful day, the SO WAS Wutterich’s squad. You couldn’t help it.
They’ve got photos, videos, sound, aerial digital, flight logs, aar’s, etc., showing that there was a grand battle going on that day, and people clearing houses room by room, wartime Rules of Engagement, and the media and Murtha want to pretend that this was someone just sort of walking in that day and shooting a bunch of civilians????!!! What a load of horsecrap!
It boggles my mind that this squad, especially after the reviewing officer said that the forensics matches the squad’s story, has not been publicly declared innocent and received profuse apologies from every real man up and down the chain.
And Murtha should be hanged for this. He lied. There is no other way to describe it. He just flat out lied.
save
And Murtha lied for the worst reason: his own political advancement within a new, anti-war, Democrat Congress.
Murtha missed out on the job he coveted under Nancy Pelosi < shudder >. But Democrats credit Murtha with changing the debate about Iraq and bringing Democrats to power. And he did it with Haditha.
DAMN! That was incredible. I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat just reading that - if I had not been in my office I would have been chain smoking...
God Bless our Military. What a helluva job they have done and continue to do. I am so sad that their bravery has been undermined and minimized by the media and murtha. I am only one woman with nothing but my keyboard as a weapon but I will use it till my fingers bleed to defend these guys.
UNBELIEVABLE!!
I read this entire thing with my mouth hanging open! What the heck are these men being charged with again???
I am positively enraged! Murtha MUST GO DOWN!
WHY is this part of the story only coming out NOW??
I am stunned.
Everyone continues to bash Joe McCarthy for his implications of socialists within our midsts back in the 1950's. Seeing how the democrats have operated over the past 15 years, how can you not think Joe got it right?
These socialist demonrats are working to destroy this Republic.
bttt
Hard to believe that Murtha was once in the military. He has disgraced his service to his country.
What is that saying about absolute power corrupts?
This is it in spades.
After the fight was over 1st Sgt. Albert Espinosa - Kilos First Sergeant - came around to congratulate Haman and the other wounded Marines. He came to the Forward Operating Base called a FOB - to congratulate the men on a job well done, Haman said. Later Espinosa would testify that he had immediately called for an investigation of the deaths caused by the Wuterich firefight.
My hinky meter just upped a notch.
"Not then," Haman said. "The First Sergeant never said anything to us. The only time he talked about it was the next day at the FOB. He said to me, 'Hey, good job out there, Haman.' Then he asked me if I had ever got to fire my M-203 (grenade launcher) during the firefight."
Maybe I am missing something here, but Haman's account, especially adding the part about Espinosa asking him about getting to fire his grenade launcher sounds more credible than him immediately ordering an investigation. So, who put the screws to Espinosa to come up with that testimony?
I am glad I wasn’t, but reading this article was as if I was there. I think there’s smoke coming from my screen.
No, because they were too busy looking for career advancement on the breaking of what they were hoping would be this war's Mai Lai.
E-mailed to Murtha’s office.
