Our old governor, Gray Davis, had gotten so ridiculous (just like the Dems in Congress now) that we yanked him out of office by recall and voted Arnold in (which many now regret).
Maybe it is time to start threatening these moronic Dems with recall if they continue wasting valuable time trying to "get" Bush and his team instead of being responsible adults by taking care of the people's business!!!
"Ask not what your PAC can do for you, but what you can do for your PAC. Screw America." (new pledge to be taken by members of Congress)
Considering that Pelosi and company are a bunch of dip sticks, It seems fairly obvious that their polls are dipping.
Now that people have a Dimocrat Congress to compare him to!
I thought James Webb was going to save the day.
DITTO to that! I like the idea of (1) recalling them and (2) reminding them to get back to work. (Or maybe just get to work). I don't think they realize that they are supposed to be working for the taxpayers.
Wait 'til they hit the slippery slope.
We need to take out the PACs. Period.
I saw the liberal media says that the reason Pelosi & Cos' numbers are falling is that they have not ended the war, as promised.
Of course, that doesn't explain why Bush's numbers are much higher.
Sounds like thew limbo...
How low can you go?
My congressman, Mark Kirk, of IL, is a Republican, but I disapprove of him. He's pro-choice, pro-illegal alien, pro-gay marriage, anti-gun rights, pro-pork barrel spending, and anti-Iraq surge. About six weeks ago, I e-mailed him and asked why he's a Republican. I haven't received a response yet.
Or as the Housewife on the Potomac shreiks, "We need to fix that."
They have no mandate and should not ram their socialist and peacenik agenda down the throats of the American public.
They were elected to "throw the bums out", not because of any support for their ideas. Do nothing if you want to remain popular.
I don't think they get that at all. But maybe they'll muse about it when they get thrown out in the next go-round. We can only hope.
Goodness, whatever happened to the 100 hours? That flew out of the window pretty quickly. What a shocker. Truth be told, this always seems to happen. Congress changes hands and the new leaders sweep into power flush with optimism and big ideas and then, sooner or later, burn out. At least it took the Republicans 12 years before they completely imploded.
As hard as they try, the media can't quite figure out what to make of it all.
Me thinks they're trying too hard to make it fit their theory rather than look at the reality.
Just a thought.
Quint and I are from Illinois too. We have Lipinski. Isn't that special?
I think Kirk is basically pro-Kirk and that explains the rest of it.
They're basically a bunch of sandbaggers. That's worse than the carpetbagger from New York. Things could be worse, though. She could move back to Illinois and run for the Senate. With the big war machine that Daley has, she'd probably get in. So I'd just as soon New York keep her.
Hopefully, the rest of the country will come to its senses by the time the election rolls around and Obama will be run out of the presidential race.
We're coming back, haven't you heard?
