I heard from the grapevine that the producers of Law and Order and SVU will sue Thompson for everything if he runs for President because they would not be allowed to show any reruns if he were running and it would cost them big time.
He's going to have some problems if he runs.

I'm sure the Rudy supporters would like to believe that a threatened lawsuit would stop Fred Thompson! LOL!

I don't think he will run. A lawsuit from a studio that you signed a contract with is binding. They will win it. But if he decides to run - that's okay - he gets $100,000 an episode so he can afford to.

Internal polls are indicating extreme strength for a Fred Thompson candidacy.

If Hollyweird does in fact plan to sue him that could be some great publicity.
I don't know much about his Conservative creds can any of you all fill me in?

I assumed Thompson was a "good" Repub.
But this statement saying he was allies with John McCain - scares the dickens out of me!

This looks promising. Fred certainly has the name recognition that Duncan Hunter lacks. It would be interesting to see how he does in the primary. You can't win, after all, if you don't run.

This is The ONLY guy that I would be willing to open my checkbook for at this point...
And the Party folks will line up behind him, because they KNOW he's a wainner...

Yes, but what does Fred Thompson look like in DRAG? What do his legs look like in nylons? What if the first debate is held in transvestite format? Rudy will be ready. Fred may come off too masculine. These are the tough questions we need answers to in the "New GOP"

I heard from the grapevine that the producers of Law and Order and SVU will sue Thompson for everything if he runs for President because they would not be allowed to show any reruns if he were running and it would cost them big time. That is nonsense. I don't recall any ban on Arnold Scwarzenegger movies when he was running (twice). There was one playing somewhere nearly every day if his campaigns. The only reason Dick Wolf might threaten to sue is because he is a commie dog who wants Hillary to win.
To: montag813
Schwarzenegger was not working for one particular studio. Thompson is working for one studio NBC. He signs a contract with them. But Thompson is an attorney right? He can probably get out of it somehow.
