That should be really interesting...how a reporter could gain access to Devlin.
I am sure it was his lawyers that got him access.
Oh, so maybe that is his defense angle? I was adopted and thus have never bonded with any parental figure, blah, blah, blah. Or not guilty because he, too, was abused as a child?

Makes me sick when he states life has been good for him for the past 4 yrs and he was relatively happy. Then you look at the flip side at Shawns parents. The strain of the last 4 yrs shows on their faces.

What is really frightening is Devlin's access to a funeral home. I don't know enough about a crematorium to know if it would have been possible or not.
that is probably the most truthful thing he has said, He has managed to hide his feelings and who he truly is for a long time now, but those days are over.
It sure does seem odd that this perv would work at a funeral home. I understand he worked at night answering phones. Wonder if he was alone there that time of evening and what exactly he had access to. Gives me the creeeps.

Get a load of this ... he's by himself and his lawyers want him moved to another jail. They've got their panties in an uproar over his "safety".

Attorney Michael Kielty says he is concerned that a reporter for the New York Post got in to interview Michael Devlin, after lawyers made arrangements for only themselves and family to be allowed in. The New York Post says it stands by a story published today.

January 21, 2007 -- UNION, Mo. - The hulking pizza manager accused of snatching two boys in Missouri is so ashamed of his arrest, he can't face his own mom and dad.
"I don't know how I'm going to explain myself to my parents," said Michael Devlin, who is accused of kidnapping Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby, in an exclusive interview with The Post.
"It's much easier talking to a stranger about these things than your own parents."
Devlin agreed to two 15-minute interviews in a holding area at the Franklin County jail here, during which he talked about his lack of interest in sex, his passion for poker and video games, the amputation of his toes and his solitary confinement in a 10-by-7 foot cell.
But he refused to talk about the criminal charges he's facing, squinting his eyes and fidgeting in his chair when asked about the four years he allegedly held Shawn captive at his apartment in Kirkwood, Mo., and his alleged snatching of Ownby on Jan. 8.
