Anti-jihadist Stuck Mojo rules. But who is the lead guitarist?

From the Duke's website:

The story begins with the signing of the Declaration of Independence. William Hooper, my great grandfather four times removed on my mother’s side, was one of the original signers of this historic document. Each generation that followed also found one of my ancestors woven into the fabric of American history.

My great grandfather graduated from and taught at West Point as would his son eventually following in his footsteps. My grandfather was appointed as military aide to then Franklin Roosevelt during World War II and was present at the Yalta Conference which signified the end of that epic war. My birth notice in the local newspaper declared that a future West Point cadet had been born, destined to follow in his family’s historic military tradition. Oops.

I didn't know.

A good EMP over Iran might be a solution to the current problem, just a thought.

Call it a game of Chicken. They do not believe anyone is willing to inflict millions of casualties to stop them from developing nuclear weapons

The future of Israel is on the line. Will they do it now? Probably not. Will they do it before Iran develops a deliverable weapon? Not to do this would be national suicide.

Unless Iran stops it development of offensive nuclear weapons, they will get hit either by Israel or the United States. We can not have a nuke going off in New York Harbor nor can the Israelis have a nuke go off in Tel Aviv. Iran has said they will wipe Israel off the face of the earth. I believe them. This is about survival.

Continuing with the metaphor, I have to think that Israel is bluffing. I don't think they have the nerve to be only the second nation to ever use a nuclear weapon against an enemy. Olmert and crew demonstrated just what buffoons they are in trying to fight it's campaign earlier in 2006, only to suffer

I have said for a while on FR, under heavy criticism by pie-in-the-sky types, that this isn't your father's Israel, it isn't 1973, and that they are soft and just don't have what it takes. They rode on luck, reputation, and myth until their bluff was called earlier in 2006 and they flopped.

I was right.

Israel won't use a tactical nuke against Iran. This is fantasy island stuff. I hope they get their act together and soon - they will likely need to be on the ball in the coming years. As for now, they just don't have what it takes.

PS - I also have upset quite a few Freepers when I note that the USA and American people in no way will go to war to save (or avenge) Israel. It's going to take a lot to motivate Americans to mobilize our military after our under performance in Iraq. American's won't die to save or avenge Israel. Too many Freepers reading 1960s speeches and believing it is controlling in 2007.

Sad but true.

Considering the cost to Iran of launching a first strike, isn't it more likely that even if Iran does get nukes, it will follow the lead of all other nuclear powers and keep the bombs as insurance?

We are not dealing with a rational leadership. They would use them. If Israel does strike Iran I would hope also hope for a decapitating strike against the civilian leadership and military leadership. This would immediately plunge Iran into a revolution. It would not go well for the Mullahs.

Good to see the MSM doing everything they can to get Israel nuked. Then whoever does it can claim it was a defensive move against crazy Israel, who was trying to bring the whole region to war.

This is possible, and probably what the realists in Washington think will happen. But if Iran just wants the nuclear weapons for insurance, why do they continually threaten Israel with total destruction? Why do they deny the Holocaust? Why do they put a President in office (arranged in part by the Ayatollah) who has been a hardcore radical all his life, who probably participated in the American hostage crisis?

In other words, through their words and actions they exponentially increase the tension unnecessarily. I am beginning to think that they are true believers, and really would destroy Israel if they could.

There have been similar reports over the past couple of years about U.S. plans. I'm sure the plans are drawn and redrawn. But I would venture a guess that this is a deliberately leaked story possibly to be used as a simple deterrent. Ahmadinejad has been hinting around that something is going to occur during Spring Equinox, around March 21. We would be stupid not to take him at his word and be prepared.
